Bills rookie Ed Wang goes down

The Bills’ already shaky offensive line took another hit Saturday morning.

Fifth-round pick Ed Wang, who’s been practicing at left tackle during Organized Team Activities, suffered a potentially serious leg injury on the practice field, according to Mark Gaughan of the Buffalo News.

The Bills are already minus projected starting left tackle Demetrius Bell, who is recovering from a torn ACL. Second-year lineman Jamon Meredith, who couldn’t make the Packers’ roster out of training camp last year, has been standing in on quarterbacks Trent Edwards and Ryan Fitzpatrick’s blind sides.

Wang’s injury is to his left leg. He had to be carted off the field and helped into the training room.

Coach Chan Gailey is expected to address the injury after the Bills’ afternoon practice.

UPDATE: Early indications are that Wang suffered only a high ankle sprain. MRI results, however, are not yet available.
