Bills tight-lipped about Ed Wang's injury

On Saturday, not long after Bills rookie offensive lineman Ed Wang suffered a leg injury during offseason workouts, we were told that doctors had made a preliminary diagnosis of a high ankle sprain.

The Bills conducted an MRI, and results were expected to be available on Sunday.

Sunday has now come and gone, and the Bills have said nothing about Wang’s status.

That said, we’ve heard nothing to dispute the notion that Wang avoided a potentially season-ending injury.

Per Allen Wilson of the Buffalo News, coach Chan Gailey won’t be addressing the situation until Wednesday, when he’s due to talk to the media.

  1. No big deal. My reague sources terr me it’s just an ankre sprain, and that he won’t need rong to recover. He’rr be back praying before training camp.

  2. Since you’re holding, Florio, I’ll take a kick at it..
Gailey tight lipped around Wang for next few days.

  3. I knew this story had Florio’s fingerprints all over it when the name Wang was involved and the term tight-lipped was used.

  4. I heard Brad Childress describing what he head about Ed’s Wang injury, “I was standing right behind him while he was warming up and saw him kind of reach for . . . reach for his groin and, you know, hold it and whatever you do with a groin. Rub it. That what I think I witnessed. It twinged a little bit on him.”

  5. Way to use “tight-lipped” and “Wang” in the same headline. And people say Florio isn’t funny…

  6. “Chan Gailey won’t be addressing the situation…”
Other things Chan Gailey won’t be addressing:
    -how to win
    -how to run a draft
    -how to find a quarterback
-why to run a 3-4 when you have 4-3 personnel
-whether or not he thinks he’ll still be the coach when the team relocates to L.A.

  7. Who?!?!
What about Mike Williams (SYR) who signed a fourth round contract with the Buccaneers above and beyond the current crop. A first round talent with a ten cent brain, or is the kid trying to shed that image by getting his contract out of the way and (reportedly) winning the split end starting WR spot before camp has even started.
Ed Wang might not even stick in Buffalo.

  8. 2-14 season?? Wow it must be super easy to get on bandwagons these days……
Get a grip, and think for yourself.

  9. tight-lipped? Wang?
oh, I see what you did there…someone had an extra cup of clever before turning in last night…

  10. You used something about Wang going down at first…now “tight lipped” and “Wang” together?
    Nice.

  11. This article is funny because wang is a synonym for penis in many cultures.
