Mike Tirico is the only person with a brain in the booth on MNF. Jaworski just peddles his football politics most of the time and Kornheiser provides nothing. No football insight, knowledge or comedic relief.
It amazes me that BSPN is able to have legitimate talent like Tirico, Schefter or (sorry Florio) Bill Simmons in the building.

Really? Because when Favre left the Packers after the 2007 season, the PAckers were the much better team. Are you now saying that the Vikings catapulted past the Packers and have a much better team? Doesn’t speak well of Ted Thompson. As a matter of fact, he must be doing a horrid job letting division rivals past him.
btw, Favre has played behind much worse O’Lines in his career, including 2005, 2006, and 2007. The reason he didn’t rack up the sacks like Erin is that Favre doesn’t hold onto the ball every play looking for that stat padding throw like Erin does.

The O-line in those years was not worse than last year. Last year was the worse since Clifton and Tauscer where brought in. Favre never had Moll starting for him and all the other scrubs they went through. The line is in rebuilding mold for the first time in a long time.
The Packers where not a much better team in 07. They had a good run and finished better but they were not MUCH better. The Vikings always had a better core team just needed a QB. This was the reason why Favre wanted to play for them in the first place.
Green Bay is younger and will be the better team if not this year by the year after. They will continue to be the better team for probably 4 to 5 years now which speaks very well of Thompson. In fact it speaks very well of Thomspon since the team has a brighter future than just anyone in the NFC north but anyone in the NFC.

I agree with Rodgers. I believe both Kornheiser and Jemell Hill are both equivalent to dog feces found on the bottom of your shoe. They both cause me to change the channel when ever I see them on ESPN. Thank god for The NFL Network. I don’t have to see neither of those douches..

I remember last August when I said if you put Favre on that team (Minnesota) the end result will be catostrophic. Not suprisingly I was correct. Regardless of whether he’s “right” or not about Kornheiser, he’s an NFL quarterback not Howard Stern.
Show some class Rodgers and don’t be singling out members of the media and smashing them so hard. Can you imagine how the Earth would open up and swallow North America if Brett Favre did an interview like this?
Rodgers is pissed at Korn because he usually praises Favre and did so especially in 2008. Rodgers is not some mild mannered handsome young man, he’s a cocky guy who is extremely confident and keeps track of who’s on his side and who isn’t. But Packer fans will be blind to this side and will defend him and all the rapists and thugs in Packer uniforms.

Tony is ok on his show. He was TERRIBLE on MNF. I can’t respect a man who spends half the broadcast referring to his fantasy matchups. I rarely watch ESPN anymore. If I want football updates I go to the NFL Network.

As to calling Tony Kornholer an idiot, I would think it would be more interesting to find somebody in the NFL or the public at large that
thinks Tony is a genius. It’s a little late calling out a low rent capitol D-bag like balogna pony Tony, when the guy was fired a year ago. That bieng said I have to say the kid was spot on in his assessment.
As to the comments about Jaws, I think the kid is still bitter about the draft day slide. Appearently losing several mil. going from top 5 projection down to 24 money still stings.
I do like the fact that the man speaks his mind though. It is refreshing to see someone that doesn’t sling out the same old cliches, and kiss everyones a$$ like the other league poster boys.

It’s no secret that Dennis Miller was a complete bust on MNF. That’s what happens when you have to start writing your own material. He flopped so bad it was a career killer. His negative Q numbers among the football audinence carried over to the larger demographic, and he’s been trying ever since to suck up to the folks in flyover country that were so put off by the elitism he showed on MNF. Meanwhile, many of his SNL contemporaries have gone on to sucessful movie careers.

Fact: I went to Green Bay Notre Dame Academy in Grenn Bay, WI and graduated in 2002
Fact: Favre used to come to my grade school (where Britney went as well, she was on my bus line) and throw the football with us kids during our recess (pre-SuperBowl Favre)
Fact: Favre slept with just about every 7 out of 10 or better looking women in the Fox Valley area including my best friend’s mom Julie during the entire 2003 season. How do I know? Because he would show up at her house after 10 pm and stay for about an hour telling Julie that he was supposed to be watching film at Lambeau.
Does this change you opinion of Brett Favre? Probably not. But GBs is a tight knit community and gossip, specifically Packer gossip is spread around the 600,000 people that live in the area in a matter of minutes.
Yes, Favre had his best season ever as a Vike but he owes the entire Brow County area a big thank you for never ratting him out for being the Tiger Woods of the North Woods….he was that bad, even after he was married.

I hate espn. so i agree with Rogers. But Rogers does come off as kind of a prick. and bitter. I’ve always said he is the cockiest player you haven’t heard get any attention. and mike mccarthy is the most arrogant coach in the league you don’t hear about. but i still like both of them, even as a vikings fan.
but let the draft thing go. if you were drafted higher, you’d be like alex smith…LOST. put on a shitty team. you were lucky to be drafted by the packers, to learn from Favre. that led to your big pay day. i’m sure jaws’ would admit he was wrong about you on draft day. he is actually a pretty reliable analyst on that network.
