Eagles sign Ricky Sapp

The Philadelphia Eagles have announced the signing of fifth-round draft pick Ricky Sapp.

Sapp is a 6-foot-4, 252-pounder who played defensive end at Clemson but might be better suited to outside linebacker in the NFL.

Sapp was projected in some mock drafts (including ours) as a second-round pick, so the Eagles were thrilled to find him available in the fifth round.

At Clemson Sapp was a three-year starter who finished his career with 16 sacks and 54 quarterback pressures.

Interesting that in the same mock, directly following Sapp, was another Eagles linebacker, Jamar Chaney. They got him in the 7th round.

It’s worse in Hicktown, Texas. Every child has been drinking since age 3 and learns to shoot a gun by 6 or 7

In Texas he’d be made fun of by his friends for not drinking whiskey.
