The all-time leading rusher in Packers history is set to join the United Football League. Sounds strange, doesn’t it?
Ahman Green, long a huge fan of the Dark Knight, will become an Omaha Nighthawk. The UFL announced the move on Twitter, in classic UFL style.
Green was born in Omaha, a town I once stopped in on the way to my first job out of college, in Los Angeles. I have never seen a greater density of people that looked like they could play division one football. I fit in well there.

Good for Ahman. He gets to play before the home crowd once again. And someday he’ll be in the Packers Hall of Fame.
They should send Ryan Grant to Omaha too.
Did I miss the story on the reuniting of Daunte Culpepper and Denny Green?
At least he doesn’t play in Houston anymore, thank god.
Ok, so PFT posts this sweet story (actually the best one for the year so far) and they don’t put in a link as to where you can buy a Ahman Green Nighthawk jersey? WTF is that all about? I bet that would outsell Tebow Jersey sales within 24 hours. Why the hate on Green, post the link to the jersey and watch the Omaha Nighthawks consume so much money on jersey sales they become a richer franchise than the Buffalo Bills overnight.
You gotta love Green. In his prime he was a powerful back, and a CLASS act! I hope Grant payed attention to this guys work ethic.
What’s a Nighthawk? and how many exists in Omaha?
“They should send Ryan Grant to Omaha too.”
Why would they send Grant? He matched Adrian Petersons stats almost identically last season and he wasn’t fumbling all the time.
He’s a good guy — hope he has a great season! Go Ahman!
Bob Gibson is from Ohaha will he get a spot on the NightQuils?
Nighthawk is the name of the F-117 Stealth Bomber and while we do have an Air Force Base the F-117 wasn’t stationed here. In other news, Bengal Tigers do not populate Cinncinati, Lions are not native to Detroit, etc.

Didn’t he get in trouble for beating the hell out of his wife? I guess that’s classy in the mind of a Packer fan.

What were his stats in the NFC Championship game and the Pro Bowl? Oh that’s right…
Well he didn’t fumble 5 times in the NFC Championship game.
Bang.
Many great memories from a man who worked his a$$ off, and truly cared about the team and how he contributed to it. Thanks for everything.
Hope you see great success in the UFL.

Viking fans would much rather watch Grant at home, then watch AP fumble 4-5 times in the NFC Championship game and help piss the game away for Minnesota.

In comparison to Peterson? LMFAO!! Peterson’s inability to keep the ball off the ground was one of the biggest factors that led to Minnesota’s loss in the NFC Championship. Oh wait, I forgot the Queens fanbase are still claiming the refs “fixed” the game. In other news, the Minnesota Board of Education is still teaching their students the Earth is flat and the moon is made from green cheese.
J.Russell is next
Green bay should of kept him and dropped Grant.
They could of used Green and Brandon Jackson (which is baller). Brandon needs to get the ball more he is baller and faster then Grant.
Why does ProFootballtalk discuss the UFL but refuse to write anything about the CFL?
