Brandon Underwood apologizes to teammates

Packers cornerback Brandon Underwood, accused over the weekend of sexual assault, practiced with the team on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Per the Green Bay Press-Gazette, Underwood apologized to his teammates after Wednesday’s session.

Underwood reportedly won’t be charged with sexual assault, due in large part to the dramatic change in the alleged victims’ version of the events.  He possibly will be charged with solicitation of prostitution.

Underwood declined to discuss the situation when speaking to the media.  Coach Mike McCarthy made a backhanded reference to the incident by way that the team has “been in the paper way too much.”

    “Guys, I’m sorry I acted like a Viking…in fact,
Zygi and Brad have been blowing up my cell, but I promise–I’m staying here. I’ve learned my lesson about chasing cheap skeezers and getting caught…
By the way, my wife and kids can go f–k themselves–I’m not sorry to THEM one bit.”

These accusations tarnished the shield. 6 game suspension, right?

  4. MrHumble says: Jun 9, 2010 6:12 PM

He apologized to his teammates for letting a ho kick his ass……underwood got “ho’d under”…..if McCarthy doesn’t like being “in the papers” so much then maybe he should cut the low lifes on the team which is challenging the fins for top billing in noteriety.

  6. sd says: Jun 9, 2010 6:15 PM

Or he won’t be charged due to the fact that a sexual assult didn’t happen.

Since Ted Thompson took over the Packers have become nothing more but thugs, criminals, and drug dealers.

See I knew didnt do it. Just like LT, Kobe and more. I know Kobe didnt rape anyone, I am sure he did have sexual content with the so called victim, but he didnt rape her. That is like saying some hot famous actress raped me, come on now.

Why dont you apologize to the lemming fanbase as well? Its no matter, I am sure everyone that follows football now expects this kind of behavior to come out of the Packer organization. Move over Bengals, here come the Packers.

  10. rovibe says: Jun 9, 2010 6:21 PM

The beginning of the end for this sad, sorry franchise. Next thing you know, they’ll take over the Lions’ spot as NFC North cellar dwellers. Ahh, well… At least they made a valiant showing last year (outside of two crushing defeats to Favre and the Vikings, and a playoff loss where they gave up more points than any other playoff loser in decades). I’m sure JJCheezePantz is cryin’ hard right now, but he’ll get used to it. Gonna be a rough year for the Pack.

  11. rovibe says: Jun 9, 2010 6:22 PM

Cheese = yellow. Moldy cheese = green and gold. No wonder! The uniforms symbolize all the aging key vets on the Packers’ roster who will soon be retiring. Then it’s 10 more years of futility. Just like old times…

  12. rovibe says: Jun 9, 2010 6:24 PM

This just in: Karen Rodgers and Tony Kornholer have kissed and made up. Reports say it was a long, passionate kiss, shared over a wedge of authentic Wisconsin made cheese and wHine… Video at 11!

  13. rovibe says: Jun 9, 2010 6:25 PM

Wait… Did I get that wrong? I did! Green and gold actually symbolizes the vomit and urine that is so commone throughout Lambeau Field, and for that matter, all of Wisconsin.

  14. jorge says: Jun 9, 2010 6:33 PM

Oh no! My Packers are getting almost a Vikings type reputation!

  15. PackersHome says: Jun 9, 2010 6:34 PM

Another false accusation. And with it being false he some how tarnished the shield? That’s fairly idiotic to say. If anything was tarnished it was the creditability of women who cry ‘sexual assault’ when things don’t go as they want. There should be stiff penalties for doing that. Although, it might detour those who are truly victims from reporting the sexual assault.
Brandon is a moron for cheating on his wife, not for being falsely accused of sexual assault.

  16. ShimSham says: Jun 9, 2010 6:39 PM

  17. Wizahdry says: Jun 9, 2010 6:40 PM

This is a first tarnish of the shield so he gets a pass. Next time he gets the 4-6 week suspension. Fair is fair.

Lemming fanbase? What do you call a team that every July, it’s fanbase says, “We’re not just going to the Super Bowl, we’re winning it 100% guaranteed” and has been saying that for the last, what, 40 years?
It makes you guys look kinda dumb….lemmingish if you will

  20. murray22 says: Jun 9, 2010 6:51 PM

You Packer haters are weak. Underwood was guilty of being stupid, he apologized to his team mates and there won’t be any criminal charges. If Underwood learns from this he can be a good player. If he doesn’t learn, he will be gone. Every team has its share of immature guys, but the good teams get those guys to grow up, or they weed them out. Don’t hate. Appreciate.
    Go Pack!

Care if you name those players, dimwit? Since you act like you are so smart? Oh wait, you can’t. And by the way it seems that you have forgotten the fact that the Vikings have had more players arrested in the last five seasons than the Packers. So that makes the Vikings the team with thugs, criminals and drug dealers.

  26. JimmySmith says: Jun 9, 2010 7:49 PM

He’s sorry alright, sorry he got caught. Rumor has it that the Packers told Underwood that there wouldn’t be any second chances. Next time, he will get cut and you know what happens to ex Packers who get cut….. the Vikings will sign the following week. The thought of that will keep him in line the rest of his career.

“This is why women are not in charge of sports”
because the only football story out of GB should consist of:
#1. our 3-4 lineup is SOLID, depth not so much “baby jesus, please oh pleeeeeeease bless 31(al) and 21(charles) allllll year long”
#2. mentioned lack of secondary depth is STILL a concern which Dom Capers does a d@mn good job of hiding it, with our new menacing D, which we haven’t seen since Fritz Shurmur, god bless him.
#3. come on fellas, this is football, leave this bullcorn to E! and tmz. who gives a beerbrat anyways?

If he is charged with solicitation then the girl(s) should then be charged with prostitution.
Some 101 investigative work , starting with what number did he call to get them and thus who else is involved. Nice easy trail.
Very stupid prostitute(s) to claim anything. Oxymoron I guess. He isn’t too swift either.

  31. The Family Ghost says: Jun 9, 2010 8:25 PM

Jeez Vikings fans .. you clowns are so jealous of the Packers it’s silly.
It must be pretty sad to wake up every day knowing that the Packers are a 1st class organization and your beloved Vikings are second rate.
Maybe things will change some day when your team is in California ;) Nah .. 2nd rate choking losers …. 4EVER !!!

  32. 90ragtop says: Jun 9, 2010 8:28 PM

Did Underwood happen to mention whether he at least got his TV fixed? If not, there’s a QB in Pittsburgh that might be able to send him in the right direction…

  33. Calistin says: Jun 9, 2010 8:54 PM

Vikings wish they were the Packers. Jealousy is an ugly monster.
Favre was a mad cheater on his wife and kids while playing for the Pack as well, didn’t ever hear him in trouble or apologizing to the team.
Now he’s your star player, and you can’t measure the man love you guys have for him.
So shut up ya’ll hypocrites, or at least come up w/ some orginal insults, the obese, cheese eating, beer swilling jokes, I’m getting sick of the same old drivvle from Vikings fans.
Shouldn’t be surprised though, most of the state has an IQ less then 45.

  34. Midwest1 says: Jun 9, 2010 9:04 PM

Wow, look the lame Viking fans are out in full effect tonight. You should be more concerned about keeping your team and not so obsessed with the Packers.

  35. GobiasINC_1 says: Jun 9, 2010 9:23 PM

FoF, your own personal version of history is still kicking ass. This all just happened when Ted Thompson took over? Right. What about a certain QB that many call a legend falling asleep behind the wheel constantly in his early days with the team? And when he did stay awake he drunk drove home constantly?
You know the one. He wears purple now.

  36. snakeman40 says: Jun 9, 2010 9:29 PM

Not defending Underwood at all; guys’ a jerk. But will those lying, scumbag, ho-bags be charged? Those flea-ridden sluts caused a lot of problems with many Packer players (through no fault of their own) and lied to the police. Start charging and locking up these lying whores and maybe, just maybe, all these false accusations will stop (the “Hear, hear!” you just heard came from the Duke Lacrosse team).

Every year for several years a viking player is convicted or pleads guilty to a crime. All well documented and provable.
All of these viking comments are there because the viking people think they finally have an example of a Green Bay Packer that did “something” viking like.
    They don’t.
There is not even an arrest. He is the victim of theft.
I bet most of the viking accusers cannot even remember the last time a Packer was convicted of anything.
    You accusers are pathetic.

Tiger W. paid Rachel Uchitel $10 million after the fact to keep her mouth shut. He had sex with her and paid for it too in addition to the 10 mils. Why is he not under arrest for prostitution.
Guys give their girlfriends money and useless trinkets, maybe not immediately after sex, but at some point they do. Why aren’t all these men under arrest.
I would much rather these guys pay for sex than get married, and then… pay for extra sex. Wait, they pay for sex all the time. To wives, girlfriends, hoes, I mean, the ladies don’t give it up for nothing.
So arbitrary. I feel sorry for the brutes.
