Golden Tate gets drafted, Pat White doesn't

Undeterred by the Top Pot donut caper, the San Francisco Giants used a draft pick on Seahawks receiver Golden Tate.

OK, so it came in the 50th and final round of the 2010 Major League Baseball draft.  Per Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times, the Giants took Tate with the eighth pick from the very last.

Another guy who’s more likely than Tate to play baseball wasn’t drafted, for a change.  Dolphins quarterback Pat White, drafted most recently by the Yankees in the 48th round last year, didn’t have his name called in 2010 — even though he potentially could be faced at some point with choosing whether to change positions or change sports, and he not long ago mused about playing baseball instead of football, if asked to become a receiver.

Of course, some smartass who has mastered the nuances of the MLB draft protocol likely will be advising us that White already has been drafted the maximum number of times, and thus that he can’t be drafted again.

Either way, Tate was drafted.  And White wasn’t.

If White wants ANY chance to be on a winner he would need to:
    (A) Sign with a baseball team
    (B) Get traded

I think they’re actually posters of White in the Bo Jackson bat/shoulder pads pose, but completely naked.

So if Golden Tate goes to a strip club and makes it “Rain”, would that be considered a “Golden Shower?”
    Sorry, couldn’t resist.

Hell, I think my dog was drafted in the 114th round a few years ago. Seriously, I think after the 40th round, they just start looking out the window and picking people at random.

Baseball sucks!! Also I am log on this it ays Tate was drafted, bu White wasnt, but then it says “Dolphins quarterback Pat White, drafted most recently by the Yankees in the 48th round last year” so really wasnt both guys drafted in the MLB and NFL? I am lost here.

NFL>MLB any day of the week. Who really cares about baseball? I would rather watch paint dry then baseball.

Baseball is a very boring sport. 50% of the players have beer guts, they are highly overpaid(considering they hardly put their body on the line) and what is so big about a no-hitter? It makes the game turn into one guy throwing a ball to another. I think they call that playing CATCH!
