Sanchez a full participant in team drills

Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez participated fully in 11-on-11 drills for the first time this offseason during the Jets’ organized team activities on Tuesday, a positive sign that his recovery from knee surgery is going off without a hitch.

Although members of the media weren’t in attendance and the Jets are tight-lipped about injuries, the team did confirm that Sanchez was participating in team drills, and one unnamed Jet told ESPNNewYork.com that Sanchez looked good.

“He looked really well, sharp,” the player said. “Made some nice throws against our defense.”

Sanchez has been saying all offseason that he expects to be 100 percent before training camp, and Jets coach Rex Ryan said last month that Sanchez is ahead of schedule.

He’s “unnamed” in order to avoid the embarrassment of getting caught in a lie.
Sanchoke is a poser and will put up 30 interceptions this year…. probably during his first 100 attempts. jests are a joke as their history suggests.
Just more hot air from the kool-aid factory in noo jersey.

hahahahh @ Bleeding Green – the Dolfans can’t resist bashing the Jets whenever they get a chance. Oh well. Sanchez is gonna play well this season. As it mentioned in the article, he’s throwing on a great defense in practice. It won’t be easy. If he can throw on that defense all week in practice, he’s gonna have a walk in the park against some of the more pedestrian pass defenses this season. If he can get the ball to Santonio or Braylon with Darrelle covering one of them, that’s a good look. Even if it only happens occasionally its a good thing, because honestly, the only dude who was able to throw on Revis this season was Manning, and we all know his status amongst the league.

  7. Bleeding Green says: Jun 9, 2010 9:13 AM

SomeFans just have too much to say. 30 interceptions, really? At least be realistic with your Jets bashing, you monkey. Sanchize will be just fine. See you bums in September.

You mean that same “great defense” that beat TWO teams with winning records, TWO teams with .500 records and THREE teams with a combined 14-34 record? Or do you mean that “great defense” that lost to FOUR teams with losing records (Fins twice)?
I know I’m impressed. Oh, and smithopher, did you happen to notice all the idiotic comments from you jests fans on the Ricky Williams article? Quit your crying and accept the truth…..the JESTS SUCK!!!!! 41 years and counting. It’s in your DNA.

  12. SomeFans says: Jun 9, 2010 9:35 AM

shingoat- Sanchoke had nothing to do with the jests backing into the playoffs, other than handing off the ball. He was muzzled after the many, many stupid interception and that “deer in the headlights” look on his face.
Not impressed. He was ranked near the bottom of active QB and looks to be a bust- good times!
Anyone making excuses for his poor play is delusional. I do, however realize that we hear the same chirping out of your camp every year so… without winning it really is just noise.
Anyone excited about a report of him making plays during an OTA- ROLF. Get real!

What a surprise. The New York media “Hype Machine” is in mid-season form.
Being stuck with a boatload of unsold PSLs I didn’t expect the JEETS to say that Sanchez looked like crap, was limping, wouldn’t be ready to start the season, and his surgery was a failure.
    What a crock.

Those players have carte’ blanche talking to the media so why would he want to hide his identity. C’mon jests fans, give us a good answer to this stupid “unnamed jest” comment. 21. TheOne says: Jun 9, 2010 10:16 AM

Sanchez sucks anyway. Yeah yeah I know the Jets made playoffs, but it was not because Sanchez had 4000+ passing yards and 25+ TD’s. In fact all of those stats are filled. He only had 2,444 yards (ranked 24 behind Henne, Ryan, Cassel, Hasselbeck, Palmer, McNabb, Garrard and Campbell). Also only had 162.9 per game (ranked 28th). Also he only had 12 TD’s (ranked 24th) which was only 2 more TD’s then “Young, 3 more then Fitzpatrick and 4 more then Delhomme” and these guys didnt even play the whole year. Also of the best stats for Sanchez is the 20 INT’s which is good enough to be ranked 2nd right behind INT’s king Jay Cutler. So really Sanchez got lucky that the Jets DE and the run game was so good. Also its was dumb that the Jets dropped Jones when he had 1,402 yards (ranked 3rd and spliting carries) and also 14 TD’s (also ranked 3rd and spliting carries). Also Greene has fumbling issues. Go Thomas Jones and baller Jamaal Charles in the big KC!!! Jets are going to fall this year watch.

I’m glad he is healthy. That way there will be no excuses, should you guys not make the playoffs, right?
I mean, you guys have the next Peyton Manning, you have the top 3 receiver set in the AFC, and the most potent running game in the NFL. Add to that the #1 agressive Defense in the League with upgrades at CB even. Anything short of winning the division and making the AFC championship game would be a dissapointment. right?
At least that is what all you Jets fans have been saying or implying.
We’ll just have to wait and see. It’s great to look good on paper and build on what you did last year, but you still have to go play the games.
I’ll be excited week 3, when you guys come down to Miami. We’ll see which QB is in better form then.
If any of you would like to place a wager on the game, you know, put your money where your mouth is, then please feel free to make an offer, but make sure you can pay when you lose. NYers are notorious for squelching on their bets.

I love the people who say he is overrated….
Look the guy is a winner and will do anything and everthing:
The guy is a Gym Rat. He will do everything to get that knee and his entire body ready for the upcoming season.
He is a book worm. He studies and watches film constantly.
He is a leader. He is so mature for his age that he looks and acts like a veteran QB. When LT is saying that this guy is impressing him and was probably the reason he signed with the Jets, that’s saying something.
He seeks out all types of Mentors. Mark was spending time with Rich Gannon this past week picking his brain. Just wait until Mark Brunnell signs with the Jets, he will have another good one helping his progress.
He is flying out all his QB’s and WR’s to his house to spend time to bond, train and just have some fun. WOW.

It’s always great fun to laugh at the jet fans and their delusional dreams. Someone forget to tell them that teams ranked so low (#7 from the bottom) as theirs should show some restraint… looking up from the bottom would teach any “sane person” to STFU until they actually have something to boast about.
(and last year wasn’t it )
But, we are after all dealing with the noo jersey misfits here and their continued drivel is the norm. Also, the internet tough guy cursing… real impressed with your lack of how to express yourselves. No wonder you guys make for such great fodder year after year. Decade after decade…

C’mon, you can’t count two games where a team lays down for them. You know darn good and well the Bungles didn’t play well on purpose in the regular season just to prevent the Steelers from getting in and the Colts laid down BIG time. I counted the Pats once that they beat and once that they spanked the jests. Can’t count the Bolts because they should never have played that game without the help of the Bungles and Colts. squelch – a circuit function that acts to suppress the audio (or video) output of a receiver in the absence of a sufficiently strong desired input signal.

The Jets have a good defense. The offense will be better this year with Sanchez having more experience and a better receiving corp. They did win two playoff games on the road against the AFC North and AFC West Champions. Teams that make it to the Super Bowl usually make steps in previous seasons to get there, i.e. going further in the playoffs. They have talent, they have playoff experience. Right now, on paper, they are the AFC East favorite.

Winning 2 road playoffs games sure seems like a joke kid

yes he may not have CARRIED them to the afc championship last year in the playoffs but he sure played like a veteran and made all the plays he needed too….(until facing peyton the great)
