The Ravens are paying outside linebacker defensive end Terrell Suggs over $10 million a year, so they have the right to expect more than the 4.5 sacks he produced in 2009. Or, at least, to expect him to rebound with a big follow-up offseason.
“Him not being at the OTAs, we’ll just have to see how he comes back to training camp,” said coach John Harbaugh. “But I would expect a very motivated Terrell Suggs in training camp.”
Harbaugh is going easy on Suggs at this time, but we’ve got a feeling things will be a lot different if Suggs reports to training camp and/or the season out of shape, like he did last year.
There’s got to be some concern in the Ravens’ building that Suggs has packed it in since signing his $62.5 million extension last July.
