Josh Reed signs with Chargers

So, the first ever PFT summit ended a little while ago.

With MDS and Silva heading to the airport, and Florio heading to appear on SNY’s Loudmouths, tonight, it looks like you’re stuck with me for most of the rest of the day. Let’s start catching up.

The Chargers continued to plan for possible future holdouts on Friday when they signed Josh Reed to a one-year contract. It’s pretty remarkable that Reed got a job before his ex-Bills teammate Terrell Owens, but he certainly doesn’t cost as much.

The Chargers signed Tra Thomas earlier this week to fill the place of holdout tackle Marcus McNeill. Now Reed will take Vincent Jackson’s spot on the roster, even if there’s no chance he can replace his production.
