The injury bug continues to bite the Rams offensive line.
Backup guard Mark Setterstrom could miss the season after tearing his triceps Friday — the same injury the fifth-year veteran suffered at the end of last season. It would mark the third time in four years where Setterstrom barely suits up.
While it’s only June, the Rams coaches must be nervous that four starting linemen are recovering from injuries and they possibly just lost a top backup.
Perhaps Sam Bradford is better off watching from the sideline while defenders pummel A.J. Feeley.
The Rams treat the offensive line as if it was just a given entity. Talent? They just don’t know. Baron might not have been a great tackle, but he is good, and the Rams just traded him away for peanuts. Everyone knows that having backup linemen is essential for any success in the NFL. But the Rams don’t know. They traded away their best OL talent (sad to say the quality is so low, but Baron was their best lineman, and I’d love to hear anyone’s idea about who was better) and they won’t pay their best defensive player, Atogwe. You want to know why the Rams suck? There you go, now you know.
Damn, training camp hasn’t even started yet and losing people already! F**K!
well atleast we all know what Rams will be targeting with the number one overall pick next year.
Oi vey, this has been the same story since the Martz years, Setterstrom was a good backup, but other than that the O-Line is leaky at best. It ruined Bulger, hopefully it wont ruin the guy they’re about to invest all that money in.
hate it for him.
Sorry, Drat, Barron was garbage. No drive, no ambition, a loser’s mentality and consistently outplayed by lesser players. By the way, Jason Smith should be 100% recovered by August, as well as the rest of the Ram starters. No one likes injuries, but they happen, and the Rams do have some depth there.
It’s too bad for Setterstrom, but he’s never been able to stay healthy. His pro career is probably close to over.
