So Bernard Berrian says they know they should be champs right now? How can he say that after :
1) Loosing the special teams battles (The Vikes started their drives in poor field position while the Saints started their drives in good field position.
2) The Vikings had SEVEN (7) fumbles/interceptions and lost 5. Can’t win like that. (BTW, almost all of those T/O’s were created by the ball stripping, hard hitting Saints defense).
3) A terrible 12 men in the huddle penalty that took them out of a game winning field goal range – AFTER A TIMEOUT – no less!
4) Followed by the classic Farve game ending INT that has become his trademark.
Simply put, although they got more total yards than the Saints, they were out hustled, out played, and out coached. They lost because the Saints played a better total game. PERIOD!
They got exactly what they deserve: runner up in the NFC Championship Game.

I don’t know where sanfranciscokid lives but calling California a “widely republican” state is pretty much misinformation. There are republicans and they have a voice because of the way our government is set up, but the majority of the population (by a long shot) is on the liberal side.
There are some implications made that I need to take care of:
First, implying all poor people are “low lives” is simply wrong and ignorant.
Second, implying being gay is bad or evil is also wrong and stupid.
On a final note to Florio, the period goes after these (like this). (not like this.)

In your last 4 posts, you 100% confirmed the reason why people hate Favre. He needs to be coddled like a young girl, bribed, consoled, and stroked all year long. Personnel moves must be made for him, not the future. All Favre, all the time. Only the mass of women, children and the casual fan that the NFL panders to, to increase viewership, think this behavior is okay.

@SanFranciscokid, Actually the Packers are a public company, so they have to release financial statements. They reported a 20 million dollar profit in their last fiscal year. Down about 1 million from the year before, but what business isn’t down a bit right now? They are also not owned by the state of Wisconsin as you have incorrectly stated.

First off, people need to be able to buy tickets and merchandise to pull a profit. That would require people to have jobs to pay for said purchases. Secondly, California is a widely republican state, we do belive in profits and corporations and people who work hard getting the benefits of working hard over the free loaders.

@FoF I am a Packers fan, so I am well aware of what you are talking about, but I think you missed my point.
Which is that the only thing Favre cares about is Favre. If he was a real team leader, like we were all led to believe, he would have committed to coming back for 2008 right after the NFCC game.
Instead he put the organization in a spot where they had to decide if they were going to build for the future or sign a couple key pieces for 08. The decision to retire was Favre’s decision to make.
Do you really think that if TT would have went out and spent a bunch of money on FA’s that Favre would have not retired?
What if TT would have spent a bunch of money to woo Farve back and then Favre retired anyway? They would have been built to win that year, but with a first year QB, and then would have been worse off now than they were in the 2008 season, because they wouldn’t have had the money to extend the key contracts they have just extended.
My bottom line is this. I love what Favre did for the Packers while he was there, but right now I’m very happy and excited for this Packers team.

I hadn’t thought of that, but you’re right. It was clearly demonstrated how much grief the physical contact caused him last year, when it occurred, and as opposed to normal pressure. And I don’t mean that there should be plans to intentionally hurt the guy, but every team they play will employ more creative ways to get a hand on him. I expect him to be much more tired this year than last, but we’ll see.
