Darnell Dockett calls out Albert Haynesworth

NFL_dockett1.jpgThough it remains to be seen whether any of Albert Haynesworth’s Redskins teammates will speak out on the record regarding their reluctant teammate, a player from another team has made his opinion on the matter clear.

Cardinals defensive tackle Darnell Dockett, who has (when not showering for an Internet camera) been trying to get a big-money deal, ripped Haynesworth on Twitter after hearing that he wants out of Washington only a year after signing a seven-year, $100 million deal (which as a practical matter has a value of $48 million over four).

“That’s why I tell y’all I’m nothing like these
dudes, for a 100 million my ass will play 4-3, 3-4, 5-9, 4-8, and still
whip ass!
” Dockett declared.  (Actually, we’ve heard that Vikings coach Brad Childress has been experimenting with the 4-8 alignment.  On offense.)

Dockett later posted a link to Mike Sando’s blurb acknowledging Dockett’s anger, declaring “I swore to tell nothing but the truth!

As Sando also points out, the $21 million balloon payment Haynesworth received from the Redskins in April exceeds Dockett’s entire compensation from 2006 through 2010.

We hope more guys continue to tell the truth regarding Haynesworth, including a few of them who play for the Redskins.

Ok Florio, that was kind of clever.

The TRUTH is… Dockett is just a HATER.
He needs to shut up before Haynesworth crushes him with his wallet!

Dan Synder why don’t you take some of those millions you got and hire a few thugs to rough Fat Al up to get him to camp, and if that don’t work then use those same thugs and ……. well you get the idea.

  5. frox says: Jun 16, 2010 8:59 AM

They should all be pissed because all this does is make teams more reluctant to hand out big money deals. In the end though, the NFL will always have teams like the Redskins that just do not get it so the players will be OK. But I would be pissed.

Dockett is far more talented than the lard ass too.

    Albert,
I hope you read the PFT.
You epitomize everything that is bad/wrong with professional football.
You are a poor sport (stomping on head)
    You are lazy
    You are a crybaby
    You are a diva. (That’s right Albert… a self-important beeeeaaaaatch)
I hope the league teams and owners collude and ride you out of the league on a rail after tar and feathering you!!!

way to keep it literal moron..lol

  9. Sociofan says: Jun 16, 2010 9:03 AM

I agree with Dock. For that kind of money, I’d play on both sides of the ball until they wheeled me off to the oxygen cart.
I wanted to give Fat Albert the benefit of the doubt and hope that it was just laziness keeping him from the OTAs. But clearly, he has not changed a lick. Ihope Dan, the League and all the attorneys involved will find a way to take back as much of that money as possible and keep his lardship out of the NFL permanently. He is just a bad citizen.

Darnell speakes the truth and from his heart, just how he plays… on the other hand FAT ALBERT needs to take a lesson on being a MAN or Manning UP two words not in his vocabulary. I would wash Dan Snyders drawers for 41 million, it just shows that he is a pre madonna he is and how much of a Bitch his is. I hope we get rid of this virus on our team quick, all he can do now is bring us down……so give him 2 options, give back the money and play somewhere else or let his fat a$$ sit and rot like the bitch that he is.

Haynesworth is acting like a spoiled brat. It’s unfair to other player that want new contracts. Management probably don’t want to deal, plus their on the eve of a lockout.

Daniel Snyder will be signing Terell Owens within 2 weeks to a one year 8 million dollar contract with escalators that could bring the deal to 10 million.

  13. IV:XXMileHigh says: Jun 16, 2010 9:21 AM

I like the Redskins (Snyder’s) approach to free agency signings. I believe it’s “Ready! Fire! Aim!”
    Good Luck Shanny!

Shoulda seen it coming. It was obvious what he was before he came here. Lotsa people in Washington like that. Not all of them playing for the Redskins.
That said, the defense has been good, why change to a 3-4? What this team needs is offense.

  15. Harm City Homer says: Jun 16, 2010 9:30 AM

Haynsworth turning out to not be worth the money does affect guys like Dockett directly. Instead of lifting the position up like an elite player and contract tends to, he made it less likley for the next guy to get a similar deal. If they would just create some sort of wage scale instead of a wild west style cash grab then there would not be so much player hating over money.

  16. doe22us says: Jun 16, 2010 9:41 AM

Dockett just became my favorite player

  17. Xpensive Wino says: Jun 16, 2010 9:41 AM

It would be much easier to jump on the bandwagon and rip Haynesworth, if it weren’t for the fact that Dan Snyder is such a tremendous douche bag, that I for one enjoy seeing this bite him in the ass.
The only way this whole thing would not be newsworthy is if this scenario didn’t happen. Did anyone in their right mind not see this coming?
When you lay down with dogs……

If you’re going to promote another football website – which I assume you claim to have some connection to – can you at least use proper grammar and not have any spelling errors in your post? When I have to re-read your post twice to even make sense of it … I can only imagine the debacle the grammar would be on other website.

Haynesworth encapsulates the entire Dan Snyder reign of error at Redskin Park. The L’il General has earned all the derision he gets. Maybe in his next life he’ll come back six inches taller.

  24. snnyjcbs says: Jun 16, 2010 10:57 AM

Tell Docket he will not be playing his position any longer and we will be moving him to Punter. Just shows you what PUNKS we have today. Years ago they had a code that a players business was a players business and they said nothing.
Today like the snitches and punks they are these guys not only cannot play a lick compared to guys of yesteryear they come across as punks as well. Stay tough Albert 3-4 and 4-3 at your position is two different positions.

  25. metaldeth says: Jun 16, 2010 11:22 AM

He’s right about the Cardinals needing 14 players on defense to stop anything the coming year

  26. Mike from Yorktown says: Jun 16, 2010 11:35 AM

I was all for trading him before the draft and get something for him, but at this point, and with his actions, I have no trouble holding on to him, sitting his butt on the bench all year if need be to teach him a lesson. Want to sit out the season? Well, no problem, but we will be recouping a good chunk of that signing bonus and the April bonus too!

just wanted to remind everyone that Haynesworth has stated that he would have received more money if he chose to sign with the Bucs over the Redskins. too bad he didn’t make that choice.

Of course Chilly will be using the 4-8 on offense this year – he perfected it in the huddle last year with the NFC title on the line…

  30. manofaiki says: Jun 16, 2010 11:11 PM

Nobody twisted Albert’s arm and made him sign that huge contract.
He busted his ass in Tennessee to get paid and he’s coasted ever since.
