On Tuesday we noted that Cowboys tight end Martellus Bennett had ripped Titans quarterback Vince Young for punching someone at a strip club. Now Bennett has apologized.
“I would like to apologize,” Bennett wrote on Twitter. “I wasn’t trying to make the headlines or anything when I responded to a tweet asking what I thought about VYs Situation. Didn’t wanna draw anymore negative attn to it. And for that I’m sorry. I wasn’t tryna rip vince or anything I was jus saying.”
Still, Bennett did point out the obvious about Young: It wasn’t a particularly smart decision to get into a fight at a strip club.
“Didn’t think it was the rgt decision,” Bennett said. “Making several stupid ones myself I know how it is. I have nothing but love for the homie. Don’t regret what I said jus nvr wanna make anyone elses situation worse.”
Nothing Bennett said made Young’s situation worse, although Young did a pretty good job of putting himself in a bad situation all alone.

I was there and I can clear up the argument. The guy kept telling VY that if he ever took the Wonderlic again he’d get a -2. Vince was arguing that he’d score a +2. The guy finally dared him to take it again and that’s when Vince lost it.
So are you really going to relay twitter messages everytime a second string tight end responds to a question about another player on another team?
