After speaking to high school players in Queens on Thursday, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell fielded a question regarding the man who would be king of the Tennessee Titans.
As to the recent misdemeanor assault citation issued to quarterback Vince Young, Goodell said (via the Associated Press) that “right now we’re gathering facts.”
Regardless of the status of the investigation, it’s unlikely that the league would step in and impose discipline on Young, a first-time offender under the Personal Conduct Policy, before resolution of the criminal process.
If Young gets in trouble again, that could change.
