The Carolina Panthers have announced the signing of a pair of sixth-round draft picks.
Ole Miss defensive end Greg Hardy (whom the Panthers chose with the 175th overall pick) and Texas A&M defensive back Jordan Pugh (taken 202nd overall) both signed today.
Hardy is a 6-foot-4, 277-pounder who either led the team or tied for the team lead in sacks in three of his four college seasons. Pugh was a three-year starter for the Aggies who can play both cornerback and safety.
The Panthers also announced the signing of rookie Robert McClain, which was reported on Tuesday but not officially announced.
Carolina signed sixth-round wide receiver David Gettis and seventh-round defensive back R.J. Stanford this week, meaning they have five of their ten draft picks under contract.

Sweet. Always exciting at the potential of every draft pick, but hopefully Hardy turns into something rather than disappears. I like the prospect of him and David Gettis being ones to make the roster and turn into something hopefully within a year or two…never know, still waiting (and hoping) on Dwayne Jarrett and this is year 4…
Greg Hardy is going to be a very good player in a few years.
Future Hall of Famers. Great job, guys. You’re on your way. Stay healthy and play hard
can’t wait to see hardy on the field, he’s a very intriguing player with 1st round talent if he can stay healthy and out of trouble. also want to see what gettis can do, big body, trash speed, add that to matt moores very nice deep ball and he could make a play or two.
trash speed? don’t know what i was thinking there…track speed
The Panthers should order their rings now just because of these signings.
Spanky,
What a dumbass thing to write. That is all for now.
