Brett Favre has been in the NFL for almost as long as Ndamukong Suh has been alive, and Suh seems like the kind of young man who respects his elders.
But when Suh looks ahead to his rookie year in the NFL, he’s already got the Detroit Lions’ two games against the Minnesota Vikings circled on his calendar, because sacking Favre is one of his biggest goals in the NFL.
“The quarterback that I would most like to sack, not to hurt him by any means but it would mean quite a bit to sack a future Hall of Famer in Brett Favre,” Suh said in an interview with KFXX, via SportsRadioInterviews.com. “Yeah I would definitely like to sack Favre. That would be a nice notch on my belt, the quarterbacks that I have sacked.”
Suh will get his first shot at Favre in Week Three at Minnesota, and his second chance Week Seventeen at Detroit. Assuming, of course, that Favre plays this season.
Assuming that Suh is in the starting lineup.

Yes I do….you quoted me a bunch of “stats” from a stats qb (thus far), I haven’t seen anywhere yet where ANYONE has mentioned A Rodgers and HOF in the same sentence. Archie Manning was a great “stats qb” who didn’t win a division championship, nfc crown, SB or MVP award, countless NFL records. You can quote all the stats you want from the past two years and “project” them out if you want but they still will only be projections. You call me a fool when it is you who is spinning the stats to state what you want them to state. How many unnecessary sacks has GayRod taken compared to Favre? GayRod doesnt have the fundamentals down yet, and he is so dumb, he never will.
Chris Hovan used to have a picture of Brett Favre in his locker and dream about sacking him but never came close.
But Detroit sacked Brett Favre 7 times last season (more than any other team last season) so it very likely Suh will get more than one sack against Brett Favre.
It will be more important for the Lions to get another “W” against the pre-move vikings again this season.

Favre won’t go in as a viking. I know you purple homos haven’t had a quality QB since Tarkenton (and hell even Culpepper before he got all fragile) but 1 (possibly 2) years on a team doesn’t merit HOF status. His HOF career/legacy was made in GB. When he finally calls it quits you guys can go back to being 2nd in the division and almost good enough to make the wildcard, but not quite. Go pack!

Players DO NOT GO into the HOF as a team member. Each team they played on gets credit for a HOF player. They can however, choose to retire as a certain team member. Whether BF decides to sign for a day with GB and retire a Packer will probably have a lot to do with TT being the GM or not.

I don’t know whether it’s funny or sad all the Favre haters hoping year after year that Favre will finally end up getting injured and year after year being disappointed. Favre hasn’t missed a game in forever. Rodgers isn’t a bad QB, he just hasn’t done anything and he’s been in the league for like 7 years or something. Whereas Favre has accomplished everything there is to accomplish in the NFL.
I would actually like to see a revival of the Vikes-Packers rivalry but with Favre gone and with Tightwad Ted running the franchise the Packers have become basically irrelevant. It is impossible to compare the two at this given moment. Rodgers has only been starting for 2 years, whereas Favre has been playing QB since Desert Storm. We Packer fans are lucky we had Favre for all those years and even luckier that we found a “more than suitable replacement”…… As for the Queen fans, you guys getting a 40 year old Favre is nothing but leftovers from us. A-Rod has great stats, but keep in mind he’d rather take the sack (and cost his team 10 yards) than throw the ball away and hurt his stats. And most of his yardage comes in garbage time. In both games against the Vikings, Favre tore-the-Pack-a-new-one, got his team out to the huge/insurmountable lead, while A-Rod sucked. A-Rod then piled-up a bunch of stats when the Vikings were playing ‘prevent’ D. Vikings easily won both games. The sacks in those 2 games were: A-Rod 14, Favre 0.

It’s funny reading all the posts about what Viking fans say about Favre and Rodgers, it has nothing to do with stats and all of that. It’s about winning games when they matter, and Favre has lost more play-off games on his stupid passes than anyone. The media has even flirted with the idea of calling him a choker. Yes, I know he has the most wins for a QB, but like I said, when they matter, he throws an INT to end the game. He did it last year and if I could attach my favorite sound clip in the world, the one of the Viking radio announcer, I would, because it states what everyone really knows about him. Another asinine post, why is it permissible to bring up BF’s int’s but it is a “fallacy”(A statement or an argument based on a false or invalid inference. ) Guess that fumble I saw AR committ on the last play of the playoff game against the Cards was a “fallacy”, I need to get a new TV.
AR is a good young qb who has a very bright future ahead of him barring injury etc. I think GB made the right decision to go with their QB of the future. With that being said, BF still had/has some excellent football left in him and he wanted to keep playing. Both the Vikings and the Packers are happy with their decisions, as are AR and BF. It’s obvious that the only real issue is that it hurts Packer fans to have their legend playing for a rival. I can understand that, but to try and build AR by knocking BF down isn’t ever going to happen. AR will need to “earn his stripes” and while stats are one thing, there isn’t a fan of either team, hell of any team in the nfl who wouldn’t trade stats for division titles, playoff wins, conference championships and SB wins or MVP awards (which typically go to a player on a playoff team). If you do want to somehow compare BF/AR, then it should be done by comparing apples and apples which is what they accomplished for “their respective teams” not their individual stats. I have posted atagonizing posts BUT only ever in response to idiotic asinine posts of comments like comparing AR’s first two years as a starter v. As a Packers fan, one of the games I don’t miss each year is watching the Bears play the Vikings . Since I dislike both teams, it’s pure football. Oddly enough, as much as I don’t like the Bears, I dislike the Vikings more, so I root for Chicago. Of course, I was hoping there would be 10 Bears piled on Brent Gump. Now there’s a new entry: the Detroit Lions! Long the pathetic also-ran, they showed signs of life last year.
