Gotta love the union stomping on this piece of crap. Every player should be out there saying the same thing, because you know Goodell and the owners can’t wait to talk about this during the CBA talks. He will cost all players money – not job Fat Albert!
As for the Redskins – It’s the Curse of Vinny Cerrato! Little Danny has one last pile of crap to roll in from his racquetball partner.
Let Fletcher and his teammates handle him. Run his ass off in camp. Nose tackle reps all day, every day. Punt coverage teams. Kick coverage teams.
Maybe the crybaby, who has already sacrificed the last two years of guaranteed money, will break and not show one day. Then, maybe he’ll break again. Get the money if you can.
But, what I really want to see is the Redskins hold firm and not give him what he wants. He either plays for the Redskins (the term playing being used loosely), or he retires. Do NOT accomodate him via trade or release. If he is the biggest crybaby ever – let that 4 sack season in 2009 be his last!!! Hail!

That is why Unions are such garbage organizations. They elect all these people that cannot count to 10 to represent the Union and deal with educated people from the other side.
Nothing worse then a washed up player that cannot find a job so pissed off at the HUGE MONEY that another player was given that they let the hatred come out and tarnish the Union they claim to Represent.

Jeff, it wasn’t the Titans coaches that motivated him. Do you not remember the previous 2 years before he left how Fisher would comment about Albert not having any work ethic? Remember Albert stepping on Gurude’s (sp) head? Remember Albert attacking another player at UT with a fence post? Remember Albert causing wrecking a guy into the concrete median on I-65 when he was driving over 100 mph and leaving the scene? Those are the incidents that define Haynesworth.
You are correct about him being the best DT in the league IN HIS FINAL CONTRACT YEAR with the Titans. That was his motivation. He was in the final year and wanted to get paid and he played all out. He got paid and now he’s done giving it his all.
Final year of contract = motivation. Not coaches.

Orakpwnd – The Bucs had him listed as the crown jewel of the Free Agent Market a few years ago but NOW around here he is used a punch line to show what kind of players the bucs target in free agency. Except that if you’re Albert Haynesworth, no-one can take away your dignity because you have none left.
I remain curious as to whether this very public shunning will have any impact on him. It would most people. But he’s already proven he’s a different sort of animal.

Just curious from fans of other teams out there, is there any interest for this guy right now? Not because I’m grasping that the skins will get some sort of compensation, but I’ve never seen anything like this in sports, and I can’t imagine this guy playing football for anyone at this point. He doesn’t strike me as the type of guy to take an incentivized contract either, so what’s the end game for Fat Al?
