As the Cincinnati Bengals try to qualify for the playoffs in two consecutive non-strike seasons for the first time in franchise history, one of the latest arrivals could be not long for the team.
Carlos “Big C” Holmes of the Dayton Daily News believes that receiver Matt Jones “looked like just another guy” during the team’s recent minicamp.
Holmes also says that he’ll be “flummoxed” if Matt Jones makes the roster over Jerome Simpson.
Jones, a first-round pick in 2005, had no team in 2009 after arguably having his best season in 2008. Throughout his NFL career, the former Arkansas quarterback has faced claims of nonchalance and ambivalence regarding football.
