Steelerfan – I’m OK with you thinking that..let everyone sleep on Matt Moore..they forget the A** whipping we gave the Vikings and the Giants last year under Moore’s direction. (incase you need reminding 8 TD and 2 INT 98.5 passer rating) Before you make ignorant statements how about last 5, how about backing it up with facts. We actually have depth at D line this year and one of the top passing D’s in the league. We already have one of the best running games in the NFL (by the way we faced 8-9 in the box all year last year and still had the first 2 running backs to rush over 1200 yards EVER) and the the passing game is gonna surprise the hell out of people with Moore and the acquisition of quality depth at receiver. It’s cool..I hope they stay under rated, I’m about to make some good money..

Matty….When the Panthers and Steelers play this year, maybe the Steelers should just leave their starters at home. Maybe then it will be close.
Panthers are a bottom 5 team this year. Teams will be running all over their defense (Beason can’t stop every play by himself) and your RB duo will onlybe a factor for the fist half of games, the second half they’ll have to start airing it outto try to catch up. And who’s throwing thos passes? Moore? Clausen? Have fun!!! When Williams and Stewart do touch the ball, they’ll be facing 8 in the box every time. Start examining the top 5 prospects for next year’s draft now!!

The Panthers Steve Smith is better, however, the Giants Steve Smith has more talent around him. The Panthers had Jake Delhomme throwing interceptions and had only Muhammad and Smith to pass to. The Giants had Steve Smith, Hakeem Nicks and others.

The real Steve Smith is awesome.
The new Steve Smith was better last year.
Really though, this is the first time i can remeber reading about a Pro who loved his sport so much he wanted to play all year round. Good for him.

Also Luke McCown is a HOFer compared to what Clausen will be.

What is a Pro Bowler doing playing flag football? I guess he and his Panther teammates are so used to losing all the time they have to go play against amateur talent so they can win a few games.
I know Smith went to one Super Bowl, but he and Moore know they’ll never make it back to the playoffs in their careers, so they have to go play in an amatuer league so they can make a championship game SOMEWHERE

So Levito..I was just wondering..are you talking about the guy that just learned how to catch the ball last year?..the one thats only gone over 1000 yards once?….the one that was utterly embarrassed by the Panthers in the last game in Giants stadium last year? That Steve Smith still need a few more years before you bring his name up, he needs to lean the rules and regulations of 89. smith is signed through the 2012 season. by that time, he’ll be going on 33, and in WR terms, you’re far from a spring chicken at that point.
with his injuries in the past, you’d think smith would take care of himself a bit better. and forgive my ignorance, but is it commonplace for a professional athlete, regardless of the sport or pay grade, to dabble around in off-season rec leagues for crying out loud? i SINCERELY doubt we’ll ever see lionel messi getting into a pickup game with some guys on the quad,
point is, you’re a professional athlete. from the sound of it, this adult flag football league was simply for the hell of it. take better care of yourself, your body IS your livelihood!!!!
i’d just hate to see such a stellar career end in him being injury plagued, ergo under-appreciated and/or underpaid in his final years before riding into the sunset.
