Odds stacked against Al Harris’ return

Al Harris’ teammates believe he the Packers stalwart cornerback will return. Harris has insisted many times he has no doubts he’ll get back on the field.

Lori Nickel of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, however, wrote something Monday night that many have likely said before. “The odds are stacked against [Harris] to play again.”

The extremely rare knee injury Harris suffered hasn’t received a lot of attention outside of Green Bay, but Nickel’s words remind us what Harris faces on his long recovery back.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy, not someone prone to giving away injury information, admitted Harris isn’t likely to be ready for the start of camp. Placing the 35-year-old on the PUP list for the first six weeks of the year sounds like a realistic possibility.

Tramon Williams: you’re up.
