Fins sign fourth-rounder

The process of getting third-day rookie draft picks under contract is proceeding, slowly but surely.

Most recently, the Dolphins have announced that fourth-round linebacker A.J. Edds has agreed to terms.

The four-year letterman and three-year starter from Iowa became the 119th overall pick in the draft when Miami V.P. of football operations Bill Parcells traded up with his old team, the Cowboys.

Thus, we’re assuming that Edds is neither a thug nor a hoodlum.  Then again, the Tuna apparently applies a definition other than the one they’d provide at a spelling bee.

  1. By all accounts Edds seems to be a quality cover linebacker.
Not sure what the last sentence is all about? An attempt at humor I suppose… let’s see how long before the delusional jest trolls chime in with more envy and the daily drivel… ready, set, GO

  2. lets go with your bank account – vs- the tunas, i’ll take tunas, so we will listen to him at the spelling bee

  3. Sad, pitiful, and pathetic Florio.
I’d accuse you of straight out utilizing bribery to recruit Sid Rosenberg to do your hatchet work again… but you would filter out the comment as you did yesterday. Besides you and Sid apparently apply a different definition of bribery than the one they’d provide at a spelling bee.

Who are the Fins? Oh, Dan Marino’s old team?? LOL

Well, for starters, they’re the team that kicked the jests a$$ TWICE last year and are 3-1 in the last two years. Know who they are talking about now?

  5. NYMets, you’re so sad. I’ve seen you trolling around every Dolphins’ article and talk crap. I don’t have to insult you because bragging about being a Jets/Mets fan is insulting enough. And to eliminate any doubt of your ignorance, your posts are typical moron-Jet-fan nonsense. No wonder the Jets moved to Jersey, it’s only a matter of time before the Mets follow… Enjoy

  7. lmao…I love it when some tool whose team was ruled by the Fins talks trash.
    jets = SWEPT!

  8. Edds is certainly not a thug or hoodlum, in fact he was team Captain, and has a great reputation. He also earned academic all-conference honors three times.
    Mr Florio,
With all due respect, you also seem to have a different definition of “thug” and “hoodlum” than would be provided at a spelling bee…
    thug
    –noun
    1. a cruel or vicious ruffian, robber, or murderer.
    hood·lum
       /ˈhudləm, ˈhʊd-/ Show Spelled[hood-luhm,
    –noun
    1.
    a thug or gangster.
    2.
a young street ruffian, esp. one belonging to a gang

It would appear, based on the definition that would be provided at a spelling bee, the Tuna is correct and you are not. That said, I realize your objective is to derive a response; however, gratuitous slander is rather unbecoming and unprofessional. Then again, perhaps that’s just too much to expect.

  9. Sweepers: The 2009 Miami Dolphins went 7-9 including THREE LOSSES in a row to end the season including two at home. Without those two big by the skin of their teeth sweeps against the AFC runner-up, the Blowholes are a 5-11 team. LMFAO!

  10. NYMets…we own you. You hate us more than you love your own team.
    Owned. 😎
    Go Fins!

  11. Florio – a DUI doesn’t make one a thug or hoodlum. Nor does an accusation of battery that can’t even be prosecuted due to no evidence.
No, having birthday parties where people get shot, having a star QB with multiple rape accusations, etc… are circumstances that might qualify one as a thug or hoodlum.

And without the Colts & Bengals laying down you would be 7-9 just like us, except we beat you TWICE!!!
