Jason Fox locked in for three years with Lions

The potential replacement for Jeff Backus at left tackle in Detroit signed his rookie contract.

Per a league source, tackle Jason Fox signed a three-year contract with a signing bonus of $330,907.  Combine that total with the standard minimum base salaries for rookies and Fox will earn $1.5459 million over the three years of the contract.

Fox is the first of the Lions draft picks to sign.

    Yeah, just like prison… the lions!!

    Fox has to be better than Backus! Lions are making good moves and other teams should hope they do not get better.
