Vikings claim Marko Mitchell

Redskins fans think wide receiver Marko Mitchell got a bum rap when the team waived him earlier this offseason.  Lions fans don’t really think much about Mitchell, because he was cut within weeks of joining the team.

Now Vikings fans can form their opinion of Mitchell after Minnesota claimed him off waivers from Detroit on Monday.  We’re going to predict that Mitchell doesn’t get much of a chance to make an impression in Minnesota either.

The team waived waived center Tommy Hernandez and defensive end Cedric McKinley to make room on the roster.

  1. Marko is about 6’4 and can jump.
The Redskins did give him a bum rap.
They should have cut Devon Thomas and Malcom Kelly

  2. They waived TWO to make room for ONE? Marko must be huge!!!
Unless of course, they are following this up with signing a guy named Polo …(they usually are found together at pools)

  3. Maybe the Vikings are just signing him so they can see how he reacts to being cut. If he whines non-stop and blames everyone else for his failures, they’ll re-sign him since he’s proven to be a good fit.
OK, that was pretty weak…sorry about that.

    Can he play QB?
The vikings have zero QB’s signed for 2011.
Favre will be back just to piss off you morons………. lol lol

  6. sup Bob Nelson – have you already written off this next year as a loss?
But just for fun, has McNabb extended his contract yet? I don’t think that’s a great comback, but I can’t shake the feeling that it will happen. Also I won’t believe that Favre isn’t playing in 2011 until 2011 week 10.

  7. Marko has good good hands. He’s fast, he can jump. As a Redskins fan I was disappointed he was cut before training camp.
That said, he has been cut by the Redskins and Lions in one off-season. Neither side has any depth at receiver. You could argue that poor personnel decisions are the reason for that but there comes a point when you have to say he probably isn’t that good.
