Sam Bradford confident he'll be signed by camp

Steve Wyche of the NFL Network reported on Tuesday night’s Total Access program that Rams first-round pick Sam Bradford is confident he’ll be signed by the first day of training camp.  Bradford and agent Tom Condon reportedly anticipate “no hiccups” in contract talks.

Unlike most recent No. 1 overall picks — except this guy — Bradford failed to sign before the NFL Draft.  While the Rams met with Bradford over two months ago to begin “in-depth negotiations,” no substantial progress was known to be made.  It’s unclear if Condon and Rams executive V.P. of football operations Kevin Demoff have since met.
Bradford is expected to command upwards of $50 million guaranteed.
Getting into camp on time would increase the chances of Bradford wresting the Rams’ starting quarterback job from journeyman A.J. Feeley.
Earlier this month, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that “there’s a feeling in St. Louis” that it would be an upset if Bradford isn’t starting by Week Three or Four.

Sam Bradford showing up in camp about four days before the season starts, wearing a tutu and a beanie, with one leg in a cast and one arm tied behind his back pretty much guarantees him the starting QB role.
Yeah, A.J. Feeley is “competing” with Bradford for the starting job just like Rosie O’Donnell is competing to be the next Miss America.

$50 Million Guaranteed for a guy who has never worked a day on the job seems pretty reasonable, theres nothing flawed in that, and people complain that we need a rookie wage scale.

Sam, the longer you hold out will delay you getting knocked out. Kick back, enjoy your health.

glad to see nobody picked up on the horrible writing in this article:
“Unlike most recent No. 1 overall picks — except this guy — Bradford failed to sign before the NFL Draft.”
Unlike most recent number one’s he failed to sign before the draft is perfect. But what’s being said here is he didn’t didn’t sign before the draft.

What a waste by the Rams
A pure-spread, shotgun-only, weak arm future NFL QB? Right

Lets see cowbitchjesc…maybe because the Rams have as many SUPERBOWL appearances as your Cowgirls have PLAYOFF appearances in the last 11 years……
