Hollis Thomas’ career could end with suspension

Free agent defensive tackle Hollis Thomas doesn’t want to go out this way, but he may not have a choice.

Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reports that Thomas was suspended eight games by the NFL for violating the NFL policy on performance enhancing substances.

The boisterous 36-year-old already faced an uncertain future after spending 2009 primarily with the Carolina Panthers. It’s hard to imagine him finding his way back into the league now.

Thomas also violated the league’s policy in 2006, thus the long suspension this time around. He played the first nine of his 13 seasons with the Eagles.
