At any rate, how we treat the least among us reflects on us as a society. If people torture and kill animals for fun….and we allow it to happen, we lose a little bit of our humanity.
As to anyone saying that people are giving Simms a free pass because he’s white, that’s intellectually lazy. Maybe (JUST MAYBE) it could be that this isn’t a clear and established pattern of behavior from him. Michael Vick acted like a sociopath for YEARS. He was the head of a criminal organization for YEARS. People act like him going down for it counts as 1 incident. It doesn’t. He went down once, but it was based on YEARS of activity and HUNDREDS or THOUSANDS of incidents.

The article in the Post says that the police say there weren’t any passengers in the car. Lawyer seems to be going big if he not only is fabricating passengers but passengers that are responsible. This is also the Vick defense!

This is actually a really good plan by Simms.
Pay the people in the car on the side and let them take the fall. If Simms really only ever did tell the cop he was smoking, then this defense just might work.
And to all those people who think smoking weed around a pregnant women is bad, think again. It’s almost impossible to get high off of second hand smoke, if it even is possible at all. Secondly, the worst thing I could find for smoking pot regularly while pregnant was a mild correlation to ADD like symptoms for the kid. Oh yea, and some BS about how your pot could be laced. That’s when you know they’ve really got nothing. Having someone smoke a joint in the back seat while your pregnant wife is in the front seat is not really dangerous at all.
Now, that’s assuming this little story here is all true. It’s most likely not, so yes, Simms was stupid to be driving a car with his pregnant wife in it while high. But as a lot of us know, that’s nowhere near as bad as being drunk. Some slowed reaction time, sure, but at least you’re going slower in the first place. But, next time, Simms, leave the unborn child and the wife at home next time before you go on your next joy ride with the homies.
Just wanted to correct some of the horribly inaccurate information posted in here.
