Plaxico Burress wants to get back to work and out of prison.
The former Giants receiver has applied for work release for the second time, according to the New York Daily News. Burress was denied in November and his appeal was also shot down.
“There are a number of very prominent anti-gun and anti-violence organizations who have written letters on his behalf and who are supporting his release,” Burress’ lawyer Peter Frankel said.
The district attorney that prosecuted Burress and opposed his last release is now out of office, so there is hope. Either way, Burress won’t hear anything back for a few weeks.
