The Eagles’ quest to maintain leverage in possible trade talks for Mike Vick and/or his replacement apparently continues.
Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports that the Eagles take issue with the comments of Virginia Beach prosecutor Harvey L.
Dent Bryant regarding Vick’s involvement in several “confrontations” at his 30th birthday party. (Maybe one of the other kids tried to open one of Mike’s presents.)
Per McLane, an Eagles source calls Bryant’s description of the incident a “mischaracterization.” The team, McLane reports, has conducted its own investigation.
So, apparently, the Eagles can do a better job of investigating potential criminal misconduct than a state-level prosecutor in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
Actually, based on the skill displayed by a different state-level prosecutor in the Commonwealth of Virginia three years ago, it’s likely that the Eagles can do a better job of investigating potential criminal misconduct.
