Report: Vick not allowed to leave Pennsylvania

Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick has been barred by probation officials from leaving Pennsylvania following a shooting outside his birthday party in Virginia last month, NBC 10 in Philadelphia is reporting.

According to the report, Vick has already missed two scheduled appearances, one at a football camp in Baltimore on Friday and another at a weekend golf tournament in Atlanta.

Vick also stayed in Philadelphia rather than attending another “All White” party in Washington, D.C., on the Fourth of July.

Vick is not considered a suspect in the shooting of his dog fighting co-defendant Quanis Phillips, but he may have violated his probation by attending the same party as Phillips, a convicted felon.

No one should be allowed to leave Pennsylvania.
    Quarantine that state…

Oh man, can’t leave PA? It’s like he’s already in prison. Again.

  3. Nick S. says: Jul 11, 2010 9:41 AM

SO, does he only play in home games this year? Philly better PRAY that Kolb doesent get hurt!

  4. MrHumble says: Jul 11, 2010 9:42 AM

It mite be easier if they just ban him from entering the State of W. Virginia. Can’t believe it is taking Goodell so long to kick his ass out of the NFL.

  5. Ufanforreal says: Jul 11, 2010 9:52 AM

Isn’t he already restricted from leaving the state by being on probation ,(unless approved by his probation officer), so what are you saying?

  6. TampaBayBucs6and10 says: Jul 11, 2010 9:56 AM

I would like to see how long it takes the COPS to come up with Proof that Quanis was on the guest list. He crashed the party and caused Mike’s people to quickly usher Mike out of the party. Then when Quanis ran his mouth some one took it upon them selves to put a CAP is Quanass.

  7. TheWizard says: Jul 11, 2010 9:56 AM

Coincidentally this restriction will be lifted in time for the preseason games.
    Such “punishment”.

Guess this means the owner, coach, and PR staff have to work yet another summer weekend drafting a press release to cover for Vick’s issues.
Wow, lots of work in the name of 32 gimmick plays a season. And considering you get to pay $5M for the whole mess…maybe you might just want to walk away from it?
Worst signing in Philadelphia sports history.

Mr Smith…I will ax a question that everyone wants to know…What is an “All White Party”?

  14. mr.bozojones says: Jul 11, 2010 10:19 AM

I extend my condolences to Pennsylvania. She survived the Army of Northern Virginia, but the state of Virginia should be held accoutable for Michael Vick.

  23. rmm9090 says: Jul 11, 2010 11:17 AM

Dude, I think Vick blows as much as anybody, but this is getting ridiculous. We already know he’s the most hated player in pro sports two years running.
Save it up for when his ass is kicked to the curb for good.

  25. bluestree says: Jul 11, 2010 11:34 AM

Starting with the first sighting of the Grey Goose, you could see Vick just doesn’t get it. Tony Dungy loses much cred over this before it’s over.

  26. The Hogster says: Jul 11, 2010 11:34 AM

I hope the Eagles play Pittsburgh this year. Otherwise, have fun with your 5 million dollar practice player.
How’s that McNabb trade looking now Eagles??? LMAO. God forbid Kolb gets hurt, or better yet sucks.

  27. marvelouss says: Jul 11, 2010 11:34 AM

@brownsfn – Playing that race card again eh? Just because a person is Black does not mean they automatically support any Black person in trouble. The average White person isn’t backing up the KKK or Aryan nation, right?

  28. Hank_SJ says: Jul 11, 2010 11:36 AM

Hawgs is correct. This would be a PAROLE violation. Easy to confuse the two, but this happens in the media all the time. So much for fact checking.

  29. MrHumble says: Jul 11, 2010 11:39 AM

All prison team: QB Vick, RB Travis Henry and Jamaal Lewis , WR Plaxico Burress and Marvin Harrison, slot receiver Rae Carruth, TE Chumura and on the defense we could have Tank Johnson at DT, Leonard Little at LB and who could forget Mossy Cade (the loser raped his own aunt)……quite the formidable team .

The McNabb trade still looks good to me considering that scumbag Vick was never in line to be the starter anyway. Besides, Garcia is still available.

Mommy let you out of the basement again or did you just wrap up a 48-hour marathon of Magic the Gathering coupled with Mountian Dew and Funyun binging? You come from a state that denies evolution. Now that is prison. That also means all of your comments have zero credibility.

    Dear Andy Reid,
Start sending a late 2011 Draft Pick down 95 to Baltimore and you’ll get Troy Smith whenever he gets there after he is done crawling to Philly. Thanks… your old pal
    John Harbaugh.

  32. TexasBubba says: Jul 11, 2010 12:49 PM

Mike Vick should not be allowed to leave the cell at Levenworth that he shares with a big harry dude who says “Welcome back bitch.”

  33. JackBTexan says: Jul 11, 2010 12:52 PM

Somewhere Donovan McNabb has a big grin on his face. Course, he usually does. Michael Vick just doesn’t get it. He doesn’t, and he never will. I am all for second chances. Michael Vick has used his up. I would cut this human piece of garbage faster than Jerry Jones would agree to make a television appearance on Entourage.

  34. Mooch says: Jul 11, 2010 1:12 PM

What does Vick have to do with the McNabb trade?
They’ve been trying to trade Vick every single minute since last season ended, one has nothing to do with the other.
If Kolb went down, we’d sign Garcia or a similar caretaker. Essentially, Vick doesn’t even play the QB position anymore – so he would never have been the long-term solution for a season. 32 snaps.
But if that makes you feel better about your latest Big Daddy Wilkinson signing, have at it!

Creative, but I’m pretty sure the “All prison team” players ought to be found guilty of something before making the all prison team.
You could replace Harrison with Stallworth, Chmura with.. I don’t know, someone else.. Jamal Lewis with… OJ Simpson? I’m sure there’s others who’d need to be replaced, but I have a short attention span, which means–

  38. Danwhitmer says: Jul 11, 2010 2:10 PM

Well if he is released it will be hard to get with another team lol How do you sell your self to the league? He Giants I can offer you 2 games a year and possibly 3 when you play pittsburgh. Then again Pittsburgh might want him seems they like trash…

  39. NFLMMAfan says: Jul 11, 2010 2:23 PM

Eagles should release Vick and move on to building a better team.

  40. winslow says: Jul 11, 2010 2:35 PM

What a waste of talent. This guy could have been great, a much better version of Steve Young. He could have had LeBron-type endorsement deals. Instead, he’s close to being unemployed, and I’m guessing he hasn’t invested wisely. Vick has no one to blame but himself. Life dealt him a royal flush and yet he’s on the verge of squandering everything. The man is thirty years old and still getting into fights at birthday parties. All-Pro from the neck down.
Don’t compare Vick to McNabb. Donovan McNabb is an adult.

  41. CookieFlash says: Jul 11, 2010 2:48 PM

You mean like the way black people continue to support the inept and clueless obama?
Or like the way Eric Holder REFUSES to prosecute the NewBlackPanthers, DESPITE video evidence they committed civil rights attrocities?

I’m pretty sure the excuse, “He wasn’t invited.. He just showed up.” wouldn’t fly in court. It’s right up there with, “She told me she was 18.”
