Koren Robinson is North Carolina's third-worst tax delinquent

Koren Robinson was a bust in the NFL and then couldn’t even hack it in the UFL, getting suspended by the upstart league for missing meetings. And now he has a problem of another kind.

The Charlotte Observer reports that Robinson owes $497,502 in taxes to the state of North Carolina, where he was born and raised and played college football at North Carolina State.

That total makes Robinson the third-worst tax delinquent in a state that has released a list of tax delinquents who owe a total of $841 million.

Robinson, who signed a $10.1 million rookie contract in 2001 and signed a $12.7 million free agent contract in 2006, could not be reached for comment.

That’s nothing, coming out of high school he was the second rated juvenile delinquent in the state.

Nothing his dramatic as his high speed DUI arrest on the way back to vikings training camp.
Just one of many vikings arested with substance abuse issues.

Give credit where credit is due, I believe he was the first Viking to get caught doing over 100 mph on MN state roads. Last year’s Vikings were busy making sure he wasn’t the only idiot getting caught only difference was that they weren’t drunk at the time.
    Stay classy Vikings.

How blind do you have to be to ignore the fact that the Packers signed him after that episode? Seriously, can you see past the end of your own nose?

Sorry, wthigooh…Koren Robinson had been released by the Vikings less than a month before the Packers signed him. There was no “clean and sober” for months. Released by the Vikings on 8/15, signed by the Packers on 9/12. Get your facts straight sir.

Actually, let me correct my own error. It was worse than I thought. The Vikings released him on 8/26. The Packers signed him 2 weeks after the Vikings released him.

One of the best all time receivers in NC State history when he left after his redshirt sophomore season. He and Philip Rivers made one hell of a duo….However, no one resisted when he entered the NFL draft. When Chuck Amato was coach he was missing meetings and have several disciplinary issues at State. What a shame, he could have had a long career in the NFL if he would have kept his head on straight…

Typical – all of the Packer fans and their selective memories.
Robinson had a stint in rehab before joining the Vikings, as well.
And – no need to point out the obvious that other clear-headed people on here have pointed out.

Robinson had no troubles while he was a Packer.
His multiple substance abuse troubles as a viking were very well documented.
    That is the huge difference.
Some teams are disciplined and well run like the Packers
and some are undisciplined and poorly run like the pre-move vikings who have no QB’s under contract for 2011 and no stadium for 2012.

Its funny how all of these Packer fans are hypocrites. We take Sharper and Longwell and you take Robinson. Yet you tell us to stay classy?
Remember when Randy Moss mooned everyone in the end zone? If you have been to Lambeau and stay late enough to watch the Vikings bus leave, you will know that all the drunken cheese heads drop their pants and moon the bus as it goes by.
    Who should stay classy???

Once again, Bob…selective memory. Koren Robinson, up until the DUI, was fairly clean with the Vikings…you should stop while you’re behind. There wasn’t repetitive issues with Koren as a Viking. Most of the mishaps happened while a member of the Seahawks.

no, not multiple. his history was longer as a seahawk. he had one incident with the vikings…you may try to say there were two but they were concerning the same issue. well documented my foot…your irrational hatred and half truths obviously make you a very stupid person.
haven’t the packers employed drug traffickers and pedophiles, amongst other random substance abusers? yeah that’s some real discipline there…try again moron.
not all packer fans are as dumb as you few posting in this topic but you’re definitely making your fellow fans look bad.

When it comes to moral hypocrisy, nobody beats the Packers. Remember Packers tight end Mark Chmura, who, after denouncing President Clinton during the Monica Lewinsky fiasco, proceeded to rape his 17 year old babysitter at a post-prom party in his own home, with his children present. Well, thanks to the “disciplined and well run Packer organization”, a legal team was quickly hired to discredit the girl’s testimony. Chmura was acquitted of sexual assault and child enticement charges. And, to show the Packers believed in Chmura’s innocence, they cut him after the trial. And this summer the Packers are trying desperately to quash the story of 4 Packer players and 2 hookers in a rented condo and a dispute over payment (characterized as a robbery). Bob Nelson doesn’t like bringing up these sordid tales. You see Bob, the difference between the Vikings and the Packers is: When former Viking Fred Smoot organized the Vikings “Boat Party “, at least he made sure the hookers were properly compensated

  33. Beer Cheese Soup says: Jul 12, 2010 10:13 PM

KR the KR is a douchebag, but don’t hate on Pack fans just because the Packers signed him.
It’s not like we wanted him, after all. The whole thing was just part of a plan by the mighty Ted to justify taking KR in the first round during his Seattle tenure. He figured if Robinson could make it as a Pack WR, it would get him off the hook for that miserable pick.
Like most other Ted ideas, it failed miserably. He still maintains KR was the smart choice though. Just as he continues to defend Harrell.

It’s been reported that money changed hands between Underwood and the hoes prior to his discovery of their theft. So there is no difference… Other than the fact that one Packer player was involved as opposed to two boatloads of Vikings players.

“It’s been reported that money changed hands between Underwood and the hoes prior to his discovery of their theft. So there is no difference… Other than the fact that one Packer player was involved as opposed to two boatloads of Vikings players”.
Love the warped sense of right and wrong.
Hypocrisy is the act of persistently professing beliefs, opinions, virtues, feelings, qualities, or standards that are inconsistent with one’s actions. Hypocrisy is thus a form of lie.
All four Packers were in the condo with the two hookers. (Not that it matters – one is enough) One Packer was getting his phreak on and the other three Packers were what – just “studying their playbooks”? These idiots were just four that got caught. The three that say they were not involved are punking themselves to save they’re careers. You Packer fans truly are a bunch of country bumpkins. Brainwashed from birth to think of every Packer as a living God. Open your eyes, there are plenty more Packers acting like fools – they just didn’t get caught yet. NFL players on every team, cheat on their wives, hang at the strip clubs and get phreaky in the VIP room. The Dallas Cocaine Cowboys of the 90’s practically wrote the book on VIP room action.
So how about bumpkin? Still believe the Packers are more moral, pure and God fearing than NFL Players on other teams? Still believe Santa Claus – comes to your house every Christmas?

I don’t know what’s funnier.. Your argument or your deluded sense of right and wrong. Go ahead and name one frickin’ source that puts any other Packers players in that transaction. I’ll be waiting.
Until then, realize that the Vikings players DID engage in sex acts with whores–who they flew up to Minnesota. They DID do all this in public. There’s no comparison between one guy hiring a couple of hookers and an entire team transporting them across state lines and doing it.
But go ahead and snort some more purple paint. It’s pretty funny to see the results.

It’s funny how people judge people that they don’t know. Sure you have done things that would make bad news. If u had a reason for someone to care about what u do! @ Robert.. who told u Koren was a juvenile delinquent. That’s not true! Unlike u wack people I actually know him and his family. We haven’t spoken in years, but what I know of him is that he is a caring, spiritual guy. Obviously through out the years he lost his way and his alcohol problem has gotten the best of him. But we all have problems..and fall short. He has knuckle head brothers but will go outta his way to help those close to him! My fondest memory of Koren was when he called me to see how I was doing after 9-11-01. Or how he helped me by talking to me after an abusive relationship. Those around him are always trying to get something from him. Guess he won’t have it to give now. BUT AS FOR YOU GUYS. YOU DO NOT KNOW HIM PERSONALLY. AND LET’S ALL START WITH THE MAN OR WOMAN STARING BACK AT US
