Bengals say slow ticket sales are “everybody’s concern”

The Buffalo Bills aren’t the only team struggling to sell tickets.

Bengals ticket manager Andrew Brown says his team -- like most NFL teams -- is concerned about the pace of ticket sales.

It’s everybody’s concern,” Brown told the Cincinnati Enquirer. “A few teams are set but most of us are in the same boat where sales have been slow. Everyone is looking for that answer as to what is going to work and trying a lot of different angles.”

Last year the Bengals needed blackout extensions for most of the season, even when they were in first place in the AFC North late in the year. This year they could be looking at more of the same. And if they’re not in playoff contention, even an extension to the 72-hour deadline might not be enough to keep the Bengals from their first blackout since 2003.
