As receiver Terrell Owens uses his VH1 unreality/sitcom media tour as a vehicle for trying to persuade someone/anyone in the NFL to offer him a contract that he deems acceptable, Owens has added a new team to his wish list.
The Patriots.
“I’d definitely be open to that,” Owens told WJMN in Boston (via WEEI.com) regarding the possibility of joining forces with Bill Belichick, Tom Brady, and the receiver T.O. has chided as “the other 81.”
And, for the first time, there’s proof that Owens would take something less than $5 million for 16 games of regular-season football. Owens told WJMN that he’d accept less money, LeBron-style, for a crack at playing with the Pats.
We can’t see it happening, unless “the other 81″ tears up his knee or pops an Achilles.

BKjetsfan101 – how has TO been overrated? TO is one of the best WR’s still in the game today. Yeah I know he only had a little over 800 yards last season, but that was only on 55 catches. You realize Marshall had double the catches and only like 200 more yards, that is not that much more. TO also had 1 game last season with 197 yards. TO had to play on a team that has 0-line issues and QB issues and still came out with those big of numbers. Look at Lee Evans, he has play for the Bills since 2004 and only has broke 850 yards 2 times in 6 seasons not very good. Owens almost hit 850 in just 1 season with only 55 catches. One of those years Evan broke above 850 yards he had 82 catches so I think Owens did pretty well for being on such a crappy team.

As a fan of the Bills, I wouldn’t want T.O. in New England. As a fan of football, how could you not want to see the 3 best WR’s (Moss, Owens, and Holt) on the same team? Heck, bring back Marvin Harrison too!

So enlighten me some more about what a fair weather fan I am and how I purchased my seat for reasons other than my addiction to Football and the Pats … ???
