Though you might not think so, UFL players are paid to play, thus making them “professional”. Hence why it is discussed on profootballtalk. Plus I believe we are being given so much info on the UFL just as a precaution given the unsure future of the NFL.

Players have to declare that they want to play in the NFL to be drafted but can be “drafted” in the UFL without saying that they even WANT to play in the UFL? It doesn’t make any sense.
