Your name is new to me, so perhaps you did land on this thread blissfully unaware that Ravens fans also direct vile and embarrassing things at fans of other AFC North teams. If your post was sincere, please excuse my cynicism regarding your lecture on the vile and embarrassing behavior of all other fans in the division … and how the solution is for YOUR team to win the Super Bowl because that will tear the soul out of all this negativity. That just seemed more self-serving than sportsmanlike.
In case this is the first PFT thread you’ve seen, let me clue you in: Every team has its share of jackasses, mine and yours included. Having someone make fun of your QB’s unibrow is NOT the most vile and embarrassing thing that’s been said on PFT. And we are ALL here because we LOVE the game. (Yes, I do know how to spell “LOVE.” I was being facetious.)
Sorry if you were trying to be genuine and I rained on the parade. But if you stick around PFT, be aware that the banter on this thread has been mild. I expect the Ravens to be very good this year and hope it will be a great injury-free season for all. But if you win the Super Bowl, do NOT expect the negativity to end. Winning makes it worse. Ask the Saints. Disgruntled Vikes will torment them until the end of days.

Wow, I’m excited about football and this Ravens team looks fun to watch, but some of you guys take this stuff too seriously.
At the end of the day these are millionaires who are conducting buisness. They don’t give much of a damn about us. They put a good entertaining product out on the field and I love to watch them do it. To attack someone elses class, and home city over a comment made by the quarterback of that city’s football team is laughable and frankly a bit disturbing. Go home, hug your mom, and be thankful that we ALL live in a great country together where we can enjoy such a great sport. Sheesh, after reading some of the crap you guys spew… I feel a little sick.

I would just like to point out a complete lack of Bengals fans trolling this comments section making snide, negative and asinine remarks. I will likely ride a high horse about it for the duration of the pre and regular season.
On task, I tend to agree with Flacco, and most Ravens fans. This year you have a squad (not that you haven’t in the past) that has every opportunity to continue and possibly build on the very recent success of the franchise (hold your horses gun jumpers, I didn’t say the very recent past was the ONLY success the franchise has had). AFCN would be a scary place if the Steelers or Browns had a shot. (Sorry PItt, just don’t see it).

Do notice you I said “ACCUSED MURDERER”. I did not call him a murderer. I know fully well that he tampered with evidence, which is a crime a hence the label “criminal” get attached.
Regarding Donte Stallworth, as a Browns fan, I am fully aware of what he did. He ran over and killed a pedestrian while legally drunk after a night of partying. YES the pedestrian had no business crossing a high speed divided highway late at night…..but still it does not change the fact the Donte was drunk when he ran over the dude.
Even on the field Donte never did anything of consequence for the Browns while he was with them, so I was not sad to see him cut (Yes, I am a life-long Browns fan)
Yes the Browns have 2 players that faced misdemeanor gun charges, so you don’t need to mention that, I did that for you.

Just curious who you are a fan of….. Because if it is a NFL football team then you have NO room to talk about criminals on another team.
Ray Lewis was not charged with murder or even suspision of murder. All he was charged with was tampering with evidence. You also need to brush up on your stallworth knoledge. You obviously do not know the entire story there either….
I am just curious, where are the Ravens any older on defense then any one else ? Reed is 30 and will be 31 before the end of the year, The defensive line is young with the exception of Pryce, and the secondary is the youngest it has been in years……. Oh and the backer position is getting younger as well….. so please tell me who the old farts are that I am missing ?

No problem No, I didn’t see disrespect in Flacco’s comment either. It was an honest perspective. Kinda sweet because he hasn’t been around long, but as golongboyee says, he’s been on good teams during his short tenure. I still think the 08 Ravens were the second best team in the league that year. If this one’s better … yikes!
My adoration of Rod Woodson and delight at seeing him pick up a much-deserved ring soothed the pain of your first SB win. I probably wouldn’t be thrilled for the Ravens to win another, but better them than the Pats or #85. I’m with you on that guy.
