Uh you couldn’t be more wrong on this one… I hate it when people talk like they know what they’re talking about and yet know nothing about the situation… Minneapolis/St. Paul is the 15th largest market in the United States, the NFL already said that they will not approve to move the Vikings out of Minnesota because it wouldn’t make any sense to do so. There are teams in much smaller markets i.e. Buffalo, Jax, even Oakland and San Diego…. The Vikings will not move so please everybody just stop hating.

A shame the Florio version of this story left out so many facts…like that the Vikings will now be the 19th team to have such a lottery, after they waited a year on the legalities. That the Vikings got approximately $ 200,000 to allow the state to use their logo, and that once sales go over $ 9 million, there will be revenue sharing with the team; and that John Randle is the spokesman for this initiative. There’s lots more, wish the story here included some of the additional info.
The poster that mentioned “regressive tax” is dead on right, lotteries are typically played by the lowest socio-economic class out there, as a desperation retirement plan. I guess Jimmy Smith is in line for tix right now…

I’m sure someone has the exact year but they have sold out every game for as long as I can remember. The problem is, your dealing with dumb politicians. Also you got people who aren’t football fans who don’t realize how much revenue the vikings bring in now and how much more a new stadium would bring in
We love our sports teams and we have as much love for at least 3 out of the 4 four major sports(NFL, MLB, NHL) as any other city/state in the U.S.
here is how I see the blame for a potential move to L.A.:
30% economy/budget deficit
70% Bull headed people

The Wisconsin Lottery has had a Packer lottery ticket for awhile now. My daughter, who works at a store, talks about the Packer fans using food stamps to purchase these tickets. Talk about stupidity.
Pretty sure lotterys are cash only talk about stupidity posting something like that.

Another nonstory. The Vikes just joined 18 other NFL teams – including the Packers – that are taking advantage of the league letting them make deals with state lotteries to use their logos on scratch off games.
And no Steeler79, Goodell already ruled out the Vikings as a possible team to be relocated to LA according to Ed Roski who is building the stadium in LA. The league said it has to be a smaller market team which probably means Jax.
