Leroy Hill trial could start as early as next week

Seahawks linebacker Leroy Hill appeared in court today, a prelude to a trial that could start as early as next week, according to Danny O’Neil of the Seattle Times.

Hill was suspended one game by the league for violating the substance abuse policy. His latest offense concerns a misdemeanor charge of assault/domestic violence. Depending on the result of the trial, Hill could possibly be punished further by the league’s personal conduct policy.

Seahawks veterans are scheduled to report to training camp on July 30.
