Missouri wide receiver Danario Alexander was one of the sadder stories of the pre-draft season, plummeting from a possible mid-round pick to out of the draft because of knee surgery that took place in February.
He’s finally recovered from the injury and announced on Twitter that he’s holding a Pro Day on Wednesday for interested teams.
The Rams say they will probably bring the local product in for a visit and physical, although they probably won’t bother with the pro day.
“We know he can run. We know he can catch,” Rams G.M. Billy Devaney told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
For Alexander, it’s all about the medical reports because he’s an impressive size and speed prospect. Alexander has undergone four knee surgeries since 2008.
‘the local product’ , umm, he’s from Texas and Mizzou is two hours away from STL. Would he also be considered ‘the local product’ should the Chiefs take a look at him as KC is also two hours from Mizzou.
I hope he is 100%. He has the size to fit great in Spags’ offense.
4 surgeries in 2 years. Wow, that’s a lot. No harm in seeing what he’s got, though….
Cleveland…receiver is a need…low risk, high reward, get some there with an incentive laden contract in hand with 2 pens (better safe than sorry)
He is a stud. Send him to Kansas City for a look. Then cut the Bowe Show
He is extremely talented but obviously has an injury problem. But why not ride him until he gets a season ending injury?
KC_Vols,
Gotta partly disagree. I say sign him in KC and hope he can makes it, playing opposite the Bowe Show. Bowe is currently the best WR KC has.
Alexander’s knees were in really, really bad shape. And there’s little reason to believe he won’t ruin them again playing on turf. The guy needs to forget football and do something else with his life if he wants to keep walking.
