Ochocinco chimes in on T.O.-to-Cincy talk

As best yours truly can tell in the wake of last night’s sudden talk to Terrell Owens joining the Bengals is that, while the Bengals remain interested in T.O., nothing is imminent.

Of course, the definition of “imminent” eventually could come into play. That said, we’re told that the process involving Owens’ next team is something that will play out this week, and that the Bengals are in the mix.

Amid reports that the deal is close to being done to rumors that it’s already done, Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco is making it clear via Twitter that T.O. will be joining the team. In one entry, Ochocinco says that “Batman is coming to join me” at training camp. In a later post, Chad makes it clear that T.O. is Batman and that Chad is Robin. (Some may suggest a comparison to another pair of, um, superheros.)

All that said, Ochocinco has a tendency to exaggerate and/or fabricate via Twitter. So it may just be wishful tweeting on the part of a guy who lobbied aggressively earlier this year for the team to sign T.O.
