Sergio Kindle expected to make full recovery

The scary fall Ravens linebacker Sergio Kindle experienced earlier this week won’t cause any permanent damage.

Kindle, currently in stable condition, is expected to make a full recovery after suffering a head injury, according to the Baltimore Sun and Carroll County Times.   A league source told Mike Florio that Kindle should get the usual contract for his rookie slot, and Jamison Hensley writes that a contract should be worked out by the middle of this week.

It’s believed Kindle fell down two flights of stairs while visiting a friend’s house in Austin, Texas.

Man am I glad the pack passed on him. He has ability but it does not seem like he’s a guy with his head on straight (no pun intended).

    Dis ain’t Sergio’s last adventure

Glad he is OK, but wondering how one falls down TWO flights of stairs? Hard to make the turn around the landing while you are tumbling…

Another Texas bust! Why was in 2 days before anyone reported this? Is there more to the story? Was he drunk or on drugs? Was it Ricky Williams house?

If a woman said she fell down the steps no one would believe her. They would say she is a victim of domestic abuse and most of the time they would be right.
So excuse me for suspecting that someone might have beaten the crap out of Kindle.
And anyway, how do you fall down more than one flight of steps? Do you bounce off the wall?

From a die hard Bengals fan, best of luck on a speedy recovery Sergio. When things like this happen, many players around the league remember there is more to life that football. Get better Sergio.

With the DWI arrest in 07, and driving his car into a dorm and suffering a severe concussion, I’m wondering why he isn’t catching heat for his “bad character”? Instead the pick is praised.
If he was selected by the Bengals, these incidents would have been all they talked about. “Typical Bengals pick”, I can hear it now. Don’t believe me? Look up the reaction to the selection of Dunlap.

“It’s believed Kindle fell down 2 flights of stairs…”
Believed by who? Just take a moment to imagine what 2 flights of stairs inside a house looks like. Then imagine a superior athlete falling down both. If this really happened, it must of looked like a scene in The Naked Gun. Either this involved large amounts of Purple Drank, or something completely different happened here.
They should of just said one flight of stairs.

With all of his strange happenings, one could say his car needs brakes and his feet need new shoes. I guess you can’t by all those things if you’re an honest kid and didn’t pull a Regis Bush!! Sign this kid Ozzie Sergio needs a new pair o’ shoes!!

For those wondering how he fell down 2 flights.
Not all stairs turn. It could be like 10 stairs small landing 10 more stairs. This can be seen in the lobbies of many apartment buildings and big houses (everything is bigger in texas?).

  29. chimi says: Jul 26, 2010 2:02 AM

2 flights huh…so i guess he tripped down the first flight, hit the landing, rolled a left turn, fell down a second flight, and came to a stop…ya thats gotta be it.

I was thinking the same thing. Falling down one flight I could see, but two? Made me think of the O.J. Simpson character at the beginning of the Naked Gun.

Unless Ray Lewis stabbed you in the leg, how do you fall down TWO flights?

Eddie Murphy’s Aunt Bunny used to fall down stairs all the time. It can happen.

  36. GBfanForever says: Jul 26, 2010 8:59 AM

There were apparently a few shady incidences in this guys past and questions about his mental makeup. In light of his past this is strange. Charles Haley was a low IQ weirdo but turned out to be a good pro.

  37. FireJerryJones says: Jul 26, 2010 9:04 AM

Can’t wait to see the drug test here. Funny how he fell two rounds in the draft and now falls down two flights of stairs…
Unless of course those pre draft reports about stress fractures in his legs were true…

  38. saintuk says: Jul 26, 2010 9:21 AM

    Narcolepsy? There were rumours pre-draft
Would explain the car crash & randomly falling down stairs.
Its something his people would want to play down
“oh he got drunk, he’s an idiot we’ll straighten him out”
    is better then
“yeah thats right, 3rd & short he could just fall asleep”

Okay, I’m going to say what most don’t due to thier inability to see past thier own team.
For one, I’m a Bronco fan, but to see this happen to a player who’s career is just starting out is horrible and I don’t think it’s right that people are making jokes out of the situation regardless of the “questionable circumstances” as some of you have put it.
There I said it and I’m moving on. I wish Sergio a speedy recovery.

Mind your own. This is the AFC North, the toughest D in the League. You got to be tough to hang around here. If you can’t take it, stick to the suspect/softness of the AFC West.

  42. HandsofSweed says: Jul 26, 2010 11:00 AM

Yeah Randy. That was a huge hit he laid on Ben. Bart Scott sure knocked the “losing to Baltimore” the hell out of Ben way back in that 2006 game you’re referencing, which is the last time Baltimore defeated a Steeler team with Ben on the field. (0-5 vs Ben to be exact).
Speaking of huge hits, I can’t wait to see Kindle get run over, knees buckled and laid flat on his back in the end zone like Ray Lewis did by Dan Kreider vs Pittsburgh during that 27-10 ass whipping of the Defending World Champion Ravens in the 2001 playoffs.
Nothing like reminiscing with old friends, huh Randy?

Hahaha the infamous “I swear there was one time when Ray Lewis got levelled by a Steeler” argument that Steelers “fans” try to talk about. Coincidentally, there is absolutely NO video footage/proof that it ever took place. Hmmm…..That’s strange, I’m pretty sure that if Ray Lewis, the hardest hitter in NFL history, and one of the most hated players in the league (bc he embarrasses everyone’s favorite players) got ran over by someone (a Pittsburgh Steeler no less, who have the most bandwagon fans in the league) it would be all over youtube, but alas, no footage exists. But Steelers “fans” SWEAR it happened, so it did alright guys? GUYS!?!?! You believe me right?!?!?!?

  44. salty says: Jul 26, 2010 2:27 PM

Not a ravens or steelers fan but if you google “dan kreider ray lewis” you find tons of links discussing ray getting owned – even ravens fans admitting it. No video evidence? NFL owns the video footage – can’t reproduce without written authority – you will have to ask Baltimore’s own commish for that.

Good news is that the injuries are not life threatening. Bad news is that all his faculties should return to normal.
