Ok, besides the fact that you have to cheat to win, your defense sucks. They are old and untalented. The offense is getting too predictable...you have to be able to run in this league. Moss is a shell of himself and is quickly becoming a cancer. Wes Welker will never be the same. Belicheat thinks he can just have Brady go from the shotgun on every play, or that they can try for it on 4 and 2 at their own 29 late, with the lead, in the 4th Qtr. They will compete for a wild card birth...but that's their ceiling this year. Sorry all you fags from Boston, now go eat some crumpets and queer off.

To the Raven's fan smartass comment about Ray Rice...it's actually a very likely that BB will post pics like that...
He loves to embarras and humble these guys, but it's time for the newbies to make their own legacy.
And one thing I can't stand is that damn 16-0 banner in Gillette, that's just as sad as the Colts' AFC Championship participant banner.
Take it down Kraft!

I love it. Keep it coming Patriot haters. All you have is "cheats". You either dont realize all teams do that, or, its simply all you have. The Patriots dominated the league for years.

But yet, all you have is: "Everyone does it. Regardless of any facts, we are above blame". Also, you admit to cheating above. Still, you are probably the smartest person in the region. Well done.

@ Zinn...I will be the first to admit that successful franchises have to have good ownership or at least ownership that knows how to hire the right guys and leave them the eff alone. For this reason I am not sure that BB would have been as successful in NY. I think that one of his big reservations with the Jets was not only that BP was still involved with the team but also the unknown of Woody J as an owner vs. his mutual respect with Kraft that developed when BB was in NE with BP.
I like this move a lot, and NO I don't think BB is right all the time either. I think his dad Steve said it best when asked if BB was a genius. GENIUSES ARE NOT WALKING THE SIDELINES OF FOOTBALL FIELDS. Boy I miss old Steve B. He was a salty old bastard...but funny.

The Patriots have indeed started a new chapter. This team isn't anywhere near as good as the dynasty team.
They say all great NFL coaches have a shelf life of about a decade. I think Bellichick and the Patriot's run is up.
I will find it interesting to see if Patriots fans go away after the team has some down years. They were ready to move about ten years ago. Hopefully this recent dynasty run has made a real fan base in Boston

BB is a very good motivator. One of the things he does really well is identify problems and comes up with great ways to fix them. He sees a team that really isn't the dynasty team that won 3 out of 4 superbowls, but that is relying on that reputation. The solution? Get rid of the reminders that allow them to feel they are great based on what the team USED to be. Make them get their own identity, and be great because of who THEY are. Make the team sink or swim on its own.
Everyone from Brady on down needs to realize that the team is different, with different strengths and weaknesses. You can not play based on the strengths of the old team. Instead you need to play on your own. Tough for the newer guys and recent acquisitions, who only know the team based on that reputation, but even harder for the veterans who were there like Brady, who must get used to the feel of this newer team.
I think this team could be every bit as good as the old dynasty team. From what I have seen of the guys who are there there is a heck of a lot of talent. The questions are "Can the team gel into a unit greater than its parts," and "Who is going to step up and lead this team?" Part of the great success the Patriots had came from team leaders and motivators like Harrison, Bruschi, and Brown. Harrison kept everyone feeling like they were the underdog, and that no one respected them, which made them fight harder. Bruschi was the consummate professional. He knew everyone's job, and taught players how to trust that everyone else was doing theirs. Without that trust players try to do too much. Just do your job. Brown was the guy who led by example. He did whatever was needed by the team, and did it all to a very high level. Receiver, return man, cornerback. Whatever you needed, he did, and did it well. Who will step into those shoes and keep this team motivated to play, even when they are behind in the 4th quarter?

I think the Pats are in a rebuilding mode and this year will not be a championship year. However, they are laying the foundation for moving forward and it's a good message from Belichick to say "That's in the past. Time to start a new era." Makes sense to me, even he knows the dynasty is in the rear view mirror.

as a life long bills fan, i can say i was a little shocked by this but completely understand. the Pats have been kinda stagnant the past 2 years and were also prior to the super bowl loss as well for a few years... they had rested on their past achievements in many ways, and its time for their guys to make a name for themselves...
that being said they have had a hell of a run and the greater majority of those guys are gone.....
that also being said... top 3 qb, top 2 coach HOF wr and another pro bowl wr? hmmmm, id sure as hell take that on my team any day of the week.
hate to admit it but come to admire the consistency of what they have done the past ten years.......
i wont root for them but i am a SOX fan... which is funny cause here in buffalo, you are either a yanks or sox fan...

Hey Pats haters and spygaters, there's no way to cheat in football unless you have the other team's playbook.
Every team copies or writes down or films defensive signals. The Pats just got caught. Every team studies the other team's tendencies on film anyway.
Even if you know what the defense is going to do and frankly you can see every QB in the league pointing out the other team's D and changing plays on the line - you still have to execute.
The teams the Pats beat got beat because the Patriots outplayed them and made more great plays on both sides of the ball than the other teams did.
They lost the Superbowl to the Giants because the Giants made more plays on both sides of the ball.
3 Superbowl wins, 4 appearances - Team of the Decade.
Amen. End of discussion.

you're a jet fan really? Might wanna get your facts straight..tannabaum became HM in 2006, I believe Terry Bradway became GM in 2001, so you're a few years off when you throw around blame for tannabaum (you should work for PFT). Also, Belichick left the Jets after the 1999 season so it would have been for the 2000 season.
Tannenbaum was the jets capologist while Parcells was the GM/Coach. Bradway did not become GM until 2001 and it was through his efforts that the franchise was able to remain solvent until the next CBA. The combined efforts of Parcells/Tannenbuam led the Jets into cap hell. $28 million over the cap in 2002 causing the team to have jettison 6 starters that league and push their debt out 1 year at a time until the new cba in 2006. Not only did their actiosn costs the Jets Belicheck as HC but the jets were unable to resign many of their own players because Parcell had taken all the money. Including Thomas, McKenzie, Jordan, Coles, Morton and many others.

Magoo you are such a clown... they can't win without cheating? Let's not forget the fact that they went on a rampage and went undefeated in spite of the spygate scene...
Also let's not forget that it's really not cheating and it's something that every team does in one way or another. Should the Patriots care about what morons like you say or should they care about what all the coaches said about it when well over half who were interviewed seemed indifferent about it because they knew they did the same thing one way or another.
Pats will go down as a great dynasty and until Brady leaves don't count them out fool.
