Saints finalize deal with Ramsey, third round pick Graham

It figures that the long-rumored signings of Mark Brunell to the Jets and Patrick Ramsey to the Saints would occur on the same day.

Ramsey was expected to sign with the Saints last week, but it was only a matter of time until he hit New Orleans and put pen to paper.  The Tulane graduate should back up Drew Brees this season.

Also inking a deal on Wednesday was promising Saints third-round tight Jimmy Graham.  The former Miami Hurricane basketball player opened eyes during the offseason while playing in t-shirts and shorts, causing some to wonder if Jeremy Shockey will prove unnecessary in 2011.

First, Graham has to prove that his skills translate when pads come on.

Can’t wait to see what Graham has in Training camp. He seems to be the most intriguing pick on their roster. I really believe he will surprise a lot of people.

Just like all of the other rookies in camp. Gregg, you do realize that he played football last year at Miami, don’t you? From reading your post, it doesn’t sound like you know that.

It’s too bad he’s not white or we could call he Jimmy Graham Cracker.

I’m looking forward to seeing what Jimmy Graham can do. I wouldn’t call Jeremy Shockey useless as of yet… Saints were undefeated last year in games where Shockey played… all 3 games they lost, Shockey was sidelined. Obviously his absence was not the only reason for those losses, but he plays a bigger role than is recognized, same with Bush.

Vikings: NO title…and won’t EVER win one.

Potentially, this could be a case of the rich getting richer. This kid’s upside is huge – even better than Shockey? That’d be cool.
And ya gotta love Mrs. Teve. By golly, those adorable, good natured, Vikings fans are so much good clean fun – well, at least they’re fun to laugh at!
HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA …….. all the way view the SuperBowl trophy, baby!!!!

How is it a tainted title? It’s not tainted. We didn’t pay the refs. People are human. The Vikings lost the game themselves, not the refs.

This offseason has taught us who dats at least one thing: it is so much fun to watch the bed wetting viqueens fans cry. Can see why the packer’s fans enjoy boasting about their lombardi trophies to them so much. We Saints fans can’t let the packer’s fans have all of the fun.

I see an interesting trend here. The Saints sign former Redskins starting QBs to back up their current star QB. Not sure what that says about anything.

Who’s going to cover Graham in the redzone? Can you say, “alley oop”?

Great choice on Ramsey. Give him a chance … he will do well. If he could make through the slaughter of Steve Spurrier’s coaching, then give him a chance in a better system and he will be ready to step in if needed.
