Derrick Burgess a no-show at Patriots camp

Patriots outside linebacker Derrick Burgess hasn’t been seen at training camp, and no one seems to know why.

Tom E. Curran of CSNNE.com reports that Burgess has not been seen at the facility, and that Burgess hasn’t returned calls or text messages from members of the media asking about his whereabouts.

It’s not clear whether the Patriots know where Burgess is.

Coach Bill Belichick was quoted as saying that “All the players under contract are here,” but that doesn’t appear to be the case with Burgess, who signed a one-year deal with the team in May.

Really? Because Mike Reese has that quote as “All the players here are under contract”. Might want to double-check that one before you base your closing on it.

come on PFT you have a post a few down about Belichick calling players day to day and in it you say Burgess was on the sidelines with the other injured players. Do you guys even read what you are posting?

Didn’t one of your articles below referenced Burgess being on the sideline with Welker??

“The Patriots completed their first practice — in full pads and some rain — after Belichick spoke. Mike Reiss of ESPNBoston notes that the following players joined Welker on the sideline: WR Sam Aiken, DL Ron Brace, OLB Derrick Burgess, and WR Darnell Jenkins.”
Based on that, Derrick Burgess joined Welker on the sidelines?

Derrick Burrgess has been in Memphis, TN for the last two days at least. The last two nights he has been in a local bar (TJ Mulligans) with friends drinking into the late night.

it’s too bad for the patriots that they will be forever remembered as the team that won it when they were cheating and then couldnt beat ELI MANNING in a fair game… just too bad

    darrenbailey,
So that team didn’t go undefeated in the regular season after the taping stopped? They lost the SB when the defense ran out of gas in the final minutes. Can you now come back to reality or will you just keep posting total crap?

    bo33011,
They still had a book on other teams defense. You cant just change you calls mid season. Now that everyone has adjusted Tom Brady is an average QB that cant read the defense (never had to before they got caught) and needs it read to him.

    _____________
Average QB? 50 TDs in a single season to 8 INTs. Last season, improved on his historic TD/INT ratio (best of all time). First season back from major surgery and was 5th in yards, 6th in TDs. Clearly the best QB of the past decade, top 3 all time (pick your order), and continues to prove it game after game, season after season.

Curran got the quote wrong. It’s:
“All of the players that are here are under contract and Logan is not under contract”

Uhm, Jram you do change your calls mid season even mid game.
What the hell are you talking about? And Brady is a far better QB than average…
    Thanks for playing.

Go back to your pathetic Madden expertise and get a clue about the NFL.
