Here's this week's Holdout Watch

Since yours truly is currently parked at an undisclosed location on the shores of North Carolina for a “working vacation” (which is a lot better than “no vacation”), the PFT Daily and PFTV segments have been suspended temporarily.

And that should prompt many of you to encourage me to take more working vacations.

But all is not lost.  We’ve been posting a variety of offseason review videos, and Rosenthal taped this week’s Holdout Watch, brought to you by the PFT Season Preview magazine

Which would provide some great reading material for anyone who is holding out of training camp.

Dude, if you’re going to force readers to watch a clip then the least you could do is get a new face. Ask Jerry Jones.

What might be more meaningful is a list of first rounders and their present status, including the amt they supposedly signed for.

As far as the Chargers situation goes, with the signing of Gates, I think there is a clear message to Vincent Jackson, Shawne Merriman, and Marcus McNeil as well as all the Chargers fans out there that the Chargers will take care of the players they want to keep around. They will sign long-term deals to team players like Rivers and Gates that don’t go out the night before a playoff game and party or get DUI’s or have drama with Tila Tequila. I honestly don’t know if McNeil really parties with the the Jackson/Merriman group but the actions from the front office seem pretty transparent.
