Sean Weatherspoon comes to terms with Falcons

Falcons linebacker Sean Weatherspoon has a chance to be the next “Mouth of the South,” an excitable first-round Falcons pick that can back up his talk more than DeAngelo Hall ever did.

Weatherspoon made sure he’ll get to training camp on Thursday when he agreed to terms on a five-year deal, as originally reported by Jay Glazer of FOX.   The Falcons quickly confirmed the news once it was out.

It’s uncertain if Weatherspoon will start as a rookie.  Mike Peterson looks like the man at Weatherspoon’s natural weak side position, so Weatherspoon could possibly challenge Stephen Nicolas on the strong side.

  1. wonderful news, no rookie holdouts once again…teams need to take a page out of our book to show how its done! this is gonna be a great year for us falcons, with the additions on weatherspoon n robinson, it’ll provide great coverage and give our d-line another sec or 2 to get to the qb, predator(abraham) biermann and sidbury will have field trips in the rotation and with peria staying healthy….skies the limit falcons fans!

  2. Let’s not have any season ending injuries to the draft picks like last year.

  3. Those blackbirds from the ATL are gonna take a thunderdump all over the NFL this season, first victim for a brownie shower are those rapist-free Steelers with DD or BL trying to do the thing. That’s a laugh.
    ha ha.
