Dez Bryant leaves the field with ankle injury

There are a ton of training camp injuries every day, so I usually only post about them when a cart is involved, like it was for Jared Gaither this afternoon.

But let’s make an exception for the most intriguing rookie in the league.

Dez Bryant had to be helped off the field by two trainers on Friday with an ankle injury. According to Tim McMahon of ESPNDallas, it appeared the cornerback Orlando Scandrick came down on Bryant’s lower right leg after Jon Kitna threw behind Bryant.  (Kitna!)

By all accounts, Bryant has been the star of Cowboys camp until the injury.

UPDATE: Bryant will undergo an MRI on the ankle.

You forgot to add in 3…2…1… To you’re completely original, and thought provoking statement. Next time, use it for dramatic effect.

I heard he broke his ankle carrying somebody’s shoulder pads…Go figure!

This kid is so overrated. And people are talking about him as the favorite for OROY. Never mind that rookie WRs rarely contribute and he has to share targets with Witten, Austin, etc.
I don’t doubt that he will be a good NFL player but I do not expect 75/1,000/8 this season like some Girls fans are predicting.

Jerry needs to cancel the coronation…
