We noted Thursday night that the Redskins could reach an agreement first-round draft pick Trent Williams before sunrise Friday, and that’s exactly what happened.
Agent Vincent Taylor, who negotiated the contract along with Ben Dogra, told Jason Reid of the Washington Post that the deal is done and will be signed in time for Williams to practice today.
“We just got the deal done in the last couple of hours,” Taylor said early this morning. “There are just a couple of things we have to still work out, a few details to work out, but Trent plans to be there [at Redskins Park] to sign it and get going.”
As the fourth overall pick, Williams is the highest-drafted player to reach an agreement so far. He is expected to start at left tackle as a rookie.
Boom. Busted. Hail.
WATCH OUT!!
MDS is all over the clock
Good for him.
If the Redskins were picking 14th this would have been a solid pick, but 4 was too high for this guy to get drafted. He’ll be good but nothing special.
This was a boom or bust pick. I honestly think the Redskins should have picked Russell Okung (many other people thought this). I think the Skins will regret taking Williams over Okung. I guess we’ll see.
I’m glad to see the deal got done for Trent Williams as they just lost Mike Williams for the season. He’ll have his hands full protecting McNabb’s blind side.
All the haters better watch out. The Redskins are coming back baby. Maybe not this year but they are gonna get ya Cowpukes, Gnats and that inconsequential team from Philadelphia.
This should start the “domino effect” for high picks…….right?
Silverback is in the fold.

I did a google search on your name and couldnt find what team your a scout for. Could you share that with the rest of us. As for me I would like to see the guy play a season before I say how good or bad he is.
