Saints V.P. of communication Greg Bensel announced late Thursday night that cornerback Patrick Robinson agreed to terms on a five-year contract.
The Florida State product arrives in New Orleans Friday morning, which means he could get to the team facility and sign his contract in time to make an appearance at the team’s morning practice. Robinson was selected with the final pick in the first round of the draft.
Once a running joke for the franchise, the Saints secondary has developed into a strength. Robinson has strong man-to-man skills and will battle for snaps behind starters Jabari Greer and Tracy Porter.
