ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Giants have come to terms with rookie defensive tackle Linval Joseph on a four-year contract. Joseph was the 46th overall pick in April’s draft.
A 6-foot-6, 300-pounder out of East Carolina, Joseph projects as a nose tackle in the Giants’ 4-3 defensive system. He’ll compete for snaps with Barry Cofield as a rookie.
The Giants have just one rookie left to sign: first-rounder Jason Pierre-Paul.
Only you would project a guy as a NOSE tackle in a 4-3 defense!
Silva, if you’re so freaking smart when evaluating and judging draft picks and prospects… how in the hell does Linval Joseph go from measuring officially at the combine as 6’4 1/2″ 328 lbs to your report of 6’6 300 lbs?

A 4-3 nose tackle? A 6’6″ nose tackle? Boooooooooo
He’s 6″4.5 330.
Where do you get your numbers?
@Tufdan
Most people refer to the DT that plays the A gap in 4-3 as a nose…
WilsonFisk just schooled you people!
WilsonFisk is right. The Giants are moving away from playing with two 3-technique DTs to a standard 3-technique and 1 or 2 technique DT front.
Whatever his height/weight is, what his LISTED position or projected position is, he needs to go out there and do the dirty work and stack up the guard and/or center and let the MLB (Bulluck?) do his thing.
