Troy Aikman takes shot at Lane Kiffin

Recently, Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman joked about joining the cast of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

He could in actuality be angling for a spot on NBC’s Last Comic Standing.

At a recent FOX Sports shindig held in connection with the network’s Pac 10 relationship, the former UCLA quarterback took at crack at the current USC head coach.

“I realize why we could never beat SC,” Aikman said.  “We didn’t steal any coaches from the NFL.”

For those of you who have been out of the loop lately, the Titans have sued USC and coach Lane Kiffin for interfering with the team’s contract with running backs coach Kennedy Pola, the Trojans’ new offensive coordinator.

Maybe Lane Kiffin will hire Artie Lange to write Kiffin’s response.

Or, they couldn’t beat USC because they weren’t any good, but still, most people are taking shots at that little slut Kiffin. He’s been around the game his whole life, but he acts more like an agent or a lawyer than he does a coach. He’s a weird dude. I’m surprised his dad hasn’t slapped him.

What is the big deal with Kiffin hiring a position coach off the Titans’ staff without asking permission of Jeff Fisher beforehand. Who the hell cares? Seems like an extremely bitch-a$$ reaction from everyone who’s in such a hissy over it (Fisher, Titans, PFT and now Aikman).

They has? Or is it, “Has they?”
I has rarely seen the worstest editing that I has in fact scene at this sight.

Must be awful lonely being Lane Kiffen.
How many weeks into the season until he starts blaming USC’s demise on the NCAA sanctions?

    Al davis was right.

The coaching fraternity is a really tight knight one.
And Kiffen broke a very real and prevalent rule of that fraternity.
This is the fastest way to get yourself turned into a pariah.

I’m a Kiffin hater myself but who really gives a s..t about whether or not he hires a NFLer. It’s a tempest in a teapot.

I’m with oxking. I despise that little sniveling bitch, Kiffin, and he does seem to be a very weird dude, but who really cares about “stealing” an NFL Coach to work in College?
I think Fisher should be more worried about who’s gonna catch, run, and pass the damn ball!

Al Davis may be senile but he noticed Lane “douche bag” kiffin is not qaulified to run anything but respected people into a frenzy with his tampering and sleezy remarks. His dad must real proud of this misguided tool. Hey another descent move by the old geezer Al.

Once again, no one takes shots at Pola? You know, the guy that actually BROKE his contract? Why is it Kiffin’s responsibility to make sure that Pola honors his contract? Shouldn’t the Titans sue Pola for breach of contract?

Hopefully Troy will sober up by the time the season rolls around. Of course, Fox is play up drunken Aikman as a plus to their broadcast team.

To many hits to the head
The guy took the job sue him not the team or the coach of the team he went too.

Troy Aikman is obviously still suffering from his many concussions that forced him to retire years ago. Now that his inner asshole has spoken, he has lost my respect as well as many others who considered him objective. It’s not as if the current UCLA coach wasn’t fired from his last coaching gig for poor character. I guess Aikamn still chafes at losing to USC so many times.

    For those defending Al over his dismissal of Lane Kiffin, let me make two quick points;
    1. Who was the moron who hired the guy whose main qualifications were his last name and his willingness to work for Al in the first place.
    2. Was I dreaming or didn’t Al Davis break out an overhead projector to explain how he was getting rid of Lane Kiffin because Kiffin didn’t want Russell and Al was sure that Jamarcus was going to be a great QB.
The main reason that the Raiders went ahead and cut Jamarcus this year was the $6 million they saved by doing so.
